It'll certainly be interesting to see what the Saints are like minus Sean Payton and likely several big name players because of the trade. And no 1st round picks for three years.

oh my god could you imagine if A) Sean Payton was traded to Houston as part of the deal or B) Sean Payton pulled a Favre and came out of retirement after the Watson trade

Watson and the Aints sounds like a minimally successful folk group that some hipster references to prove how nonconformist they are.

I'm sure but the trade makes no sense from Singapores perspective. Derek Carr wasn't getting resigned by Cuba, Kenny Golladay isn't better than Keenan Allen... so.. I mean, to each their own.

Currently Derek Carr makes $25M/yr he is soon to be making $40M/yr per reports. Both he and Brady had the same Cap BDL number now and Brady was not getting me over any hump. Waiting til FA would have likely cost me more money and would have had to fight others for his services.

I like Carr in a Josh McDaniels style offense. I also get to pair him with Waller. I can decline to match any new deal Carr signs and 3 Up him at a higher number next year when our cap goes up over $20K.

Keenan Allen is an excellent WR but he is a slot guy now in LA. I like all my young group of WR. With only 1 more year at a cheap rate Allen wasn't going to benefit me down the road. Carr will.

Kyle Pitts deleted a tweet less than 20 minutes ago that said its about to get scary in Atlanta 🤐. Interesting. He shares the same agent as Watson.

I saw a rumor that Allen Robinson hasn't signed cause he is waiting to join Watson in ATL.

Matt Ryan is about to get Traded out of Atlanta, followed closely by Deshaun Watson being traded to Atlanta.

Ahhhh! Or as one of my former Jersey teammates used to call it "Ruckers". LOL

So, serious question:

Should I just stick with the Bluegrass here in Ohio? I've got a base of fescue and bluegrass down already. I just gotta hit those bare spots throughout my 2 acres. I take it I should aerate before I overseed here in the next couple weeks?

Bluegrass is tricky, because while it looks awesome, it's got much higher fertility needs than your 'standard' grasses like tall fescue and rye. It's also prone to some rough disease issues. If you can still with a mostly tall fescue blend that's your best bet. There are lots of different varieties of tall fescue, with older ones (k 31) being what were called "bunch type" where they basically grow in clumps like some weeds do. Its a tough turf, but isn't the most visually appealing.

Also, seeding in the spring yields pretty meh results. I tell people seedlings are like kids, they've got no immune system and can't defend themselves so they're vulnerable to everything. Spot seeding is ok, but if you can hold off until the fall when disease pressure is lower, and heat stress is done that's huge.

edit: Also, aerating and overseeding now means you can't put down a crabgrass preventer without killing the seed you've put down.

This feels like a Hank Hill moment.
