I would expect a HC to happen pretty quick after a GM gets hired, but I don’t think a GM hiring would happen all that quick either. George Paton’s hiring in Denver was 10 days after the season. Which GM would want to come if Rick got moved upstairs? This is Ricks defence and the overall team construction (lack there of) is partly due to the risk of extending Cousins (Rick decision) and the poor draft results in recent years.
