Seems you are wrong friend. Dallas is on twice. And there's enough players that it's not just a Vegas problem.

Cowboys are on that twice, but not Dallas. Vegas all were in Vegas.

Is Vegas really the problem, or could it be that Mayock and Gruden were drafting too many knuckleheads?

It was confirmed that Gruden had final say right? If so, I definitely see Gruden as the "You know what man, this guy can play some ball. Character be damned, you see that one play he had in that one game? Pull the trigger, trade 3 picks to go and get em, I don't care that he's got an active warrant."

Vegas isn't a problem. Hiding behind that narrative basically just absolves players of a degree of accountability.

People act like Vegas is special with regards to what is available. It's not. Miami didn't have issues with this and they are just now cutting alcohol sales at 2 at Miami Beach. New Orleans has at least some bars that are 24 / 7, and like Vegas, some clubs stay open until 4 (Vegas does have drais, which is open until 6 for after hours, but is fairly unique in that regard. Most clubs like hakkasan, XS, Omnia are only open until 4 ). NYC closes down at 4 as well. You can serve until 4 am in Chicago with a late night licence and some clubs are open until 4.

The VGK has been here a few years now, don't believe they have had a single player hit with a DUI or arrested or whatever

Henry Ruggs III collegiate character would be one of the last guys you would have expected to drink and drive. He lost his best friend as a teenager in a car accident and would honor him every time he scored from HS to college to the pros. He was a Mark Davis favorite prospect because he reminded him of his late friend Cliff Branch.

Arnette, yes he had a lot of flags.

Hobbs was a late rounder that had a suspension as a sophmore, but followed that up with being a team captain the following two years.

Josh Jacobs was a character profile story for his growing up homeless and overcoming everything as a solid easy to root for hard worker that won a National Championship at Alabama. He got car ad deals before his DUI this summer.

_____
Forge arguing Miami and NOLA doesn't have these issues... but that's where many of the offseason issues like this take place for players regardless of their team. It not being an issue for specifically the Dolphins or Saints is more a credit to those organizations.

Not really. There's actually a database of NFL arrests where you can see the charge and where it occurred

https://databases.usatoday.com/nfl-arrests/

There's nothing really crazy here with regards to a specific location outside of Vegas' hat trick, which is eye popping in no small part due to the small time frame, the players and the publicity (obviously given the horrific nature if ruggs' scenario, that got a lot more coverage)

But Minneapolis and the surrounding area had 4 DUI & drug related issues over about 18 months in 18-19. Denver had two in a short period (Chubb's issue for the third was only traffic violations, not alcohol or drug). Miami did have a few in short order, but they were all Mark Walton.

Pj Williams got in trouble in Nola for a dui, as did Aldon, but the latter got into trouble wherever.

Locations aren't the problem. People making stupid decisions is, and they are fully capable of making those stupid decisions anywhere, as that link shows

People also make stupid decisions based on influences and you'd have to be crazy to think Vegas isn't an influence. That statement doesn't mean it doesn't happen in Nebraska or Arizona or Maryland.

DUI is an issue everywhere. The major city with the highest per capita DUI arrests in the country is Las Vegas and Vegas is 3x the rate of the 10th highest and nearly 2x the second most. Vegas has more DUI arrests than any city in the country. Insurance companies raise insurance rates in Vegas higher after DUI than anywhere in the country.

They need to change the law. Why can't you sleep in your car drunk? That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

Different states have different laws. Some if you are in the driver seat, some if the keys are in the ignition, some if the car is on. The point is you shouldn't even be behind the wheel. I have never seen one (though it may exist) that makes it illegal if you are sleeping in the backseat for instance.

The Raiders should be sponsored by Uber or Lyft at this point.

First order of business is to provide the Chargers team free Uber's to the airport on Sunday night so they can make their trip to Cancun to start their offseason activities.
