NYRaider
The sad part is that the storyline this week should be about us potentially making the playoffs but will be about Hobbs and the ish show that is our organization.

Instead of celebrating a big win and preparing for the biggest game we've had since probably our Super Bowl game in terms of what it means for the team and culture going forward, we're discussing Nate Hobbs and by proxy the Ruggs incident. It just never ends, lol.

However Ruggs, Jacobs, Hobbs... all DUI issues within half a season. Vegas is a different animal. We all understand it's a ciity but there's also the reputation, excitement, temptation, etc that no other US city has. This city is always going to be a risk imo. Miami is pretty similar to Vegas and they haven't had any issues.
RaidersAreOne
I wonder what his punishment is realistically going to look like. Any recent DUI's in the league that's comparable to Hobbs'? I wonder how many games they missed and iif they returned? Not good timing with playoffs right around the corner potentially. Idiot.

Idiot. itll be 2 games next season if hes convicted. Im thinking the Raiders get the charges reduced to save face though.

Heart of Oak
So, we need to see the details but... Assuming this report is 100% legit but my first reaction is how incredibly stupid and selfish of Hobbs to put himself in that situation. In some ways this is actually worse than Ruggs (not in terms of outcome) but Hobbs was on the fricking roster where Ruggs managed to kill someone, ruin his life, end his career and impact our ability to make the playoffs. Yet nothing about the situation shouted "Maybe you shouldn't be doing this!" Again, I believe this is only reported through TMZ who can be a bit sensationalist so we have to wait until we get the full report but for the love of God!
roi34
blaming a city for duis is silly. thats like blaming a guy for robbing a store. individuals make choices. hopefully he gets out ok and they say he slept it off. but stop blaming anyone but the people doing it. Not saying we dont make mistakes but sheesh

Yet Leatherwood, Ferrell, Abram, Moreau etc. seem not to have been so bone-headed as to do such a thing. Some people just have a self-destructive nature. What is more, Hobbs is 22...he is not some 17 or 18 year old. Edited January 3, 2022 by Heart of Oak
