If EB gets hired we only gain one additional 3rd round pick for 2024 since we already got two for Poles. But more importantly, who would we elevate to OC? Glancing at the coaching roster, no one really stands out to me. Nagy? I know he bombed in Chicago but he was pretty great here.

His play calling and offenses were atrocious in Chicago. I’d rather we look elsewhere.
RedGold
Will Hardman be trade bait? Through performance incentives his cap raises to just over 4mil. With Veach speaking of upgrading WR Is what Hardman provides worth that. I do like him as the gadget guy, but not sure we can’t replace him for less

I wouldn’t hate it though.
kingseanjohn
I can't find anything else to confirm this. But there was this earlier this morning: So it looks like the we'll have mostly the same defensive staff in place.

onejayhawk
This is an interesting article for today's Senior Bowl. There are usually some small school players that get noticed at the all-star games and the Senior Bowl is the highest profile. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-senior-bowl-prospects-christian-watson-charlie-kolar-otito-ogbonnia-kerby-joseph-sam-williams/

Like any small school guy there’s questions against prime defensive players/systems. But there’sa out to like. Big (6’4”) deceptively quick in the open field excels at things like the jet sweep (know a WR needy team like schemes the ball into the WRs hands?). Long strides allow him to take the top off when needed.
onejayhawk
Agree on Watson. Sam Williams could be a Chris Jones type. J
onejayhawk
This one is interesting. Jonathan Woodard is a bona fide star in Canada. We signed him to a reserve/futures contract. He has played in the NFL but did not break out until this season. He was not a Combine invitee, his pro-day score are 6'5", 271 lb, 4.89 40, 7.08 3 cone, 4.4 shuttle. He fits the long and lean profile that Spags likes.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2022/02/07/kansas-city-chiefs-jonathan-woodard-signed-reserve-future-contract/
onejayhawk
Here is another article on DL. It covers re-signing Ingram, possibly redoing Clark's contract, some free agents (below) and the draft. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2022/2/8/22922314/how-the-chiefs-can-bolster-their-defensive-line-this-offseason Some top FA Edge. We also need to re-sign Nnadi or get other IDL. Emmanuel Ogbah Von Miller Randy Gregory Harold Landry III Derek Barnett Jadeveon Clowney Charles Harris Kemoko Turay Arden Key You can get the whole list here.https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/ufa/edge/all/

onejayhawk
Ogbah I would love to have again. Gregory has possibilities, though he may be too expensive and I suspect he re-signs. Neither of the last two, Turay and Key, is a stud but both would be nice depth and cheap. We also have Dana and Wharton, so the cupboard is not bare. onejayhawk
In a bit of a different direction, Wire is doing reviews of some of the fringe players. The first is on Zayne Anderson who may be one of the key ST players going forward. follwed by DiCaprio Bootle and Shane Buechele.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-zayne-anderson-rookie-season-review-future-outlook/https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-dicaprio-bootle-rookie-season-review-future-outlook/https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-shane-buechele-rookie-season-review-future-outlook/ Edited February 15, 2022 by onejayhawk

He was getting open downfield all season and Mahomes was ignoring him. I think itd be better for his career just to test the waters with a different team. Combine is gonna be pretty big for him, but he looked like a good route runner at the Senior Bowl.
