We just fielded an NFL Defense that ranked 27th-32nd in just about every single Defensive Statistical Category know to mankind.

And you mean to tell me that Joe Douglas hasn't even signed 1 FA Defensive Player after watching Foley walk?

Our Defense is even worse today than it was before FA...

On the surface it appears that way.  But if he follows last years trend, he will draft all D at the top of the draft.  Last year he signed a lot of D FA's and drafted O with the first 4 picks.

And now he'll be forced to overpay for past their prime types like Stephon Gilmore...

Don’t worry. 3 of our 4 top picks will be going toward that side of the ball.

The Jets were one of the final 3 teams in the running for Marcus Williams.

Stinks Joe Douglas couldn't get the job done.

Now we'll head into the draft with two glaring need @ FS and SS because our current Safety's are all absolute crap and we've even lost Marcus Maye (who was nothing special to begin with).

You started a whole thread yesterday on how you're starting to learn how JD operates. And literally 16hrs later are disappointed all over again. Over the same thing we've been telling you.

JD was never going to pay Williams 14mill/season. So yes we were in on Williams, but that's pricey and maybe he wanted a win now team. Maybe we offered something similar, but they're the better team. We don't know

Every time a big name player signs elsewhere are you going to get upset?

Where did our Defense rank last year?

How many Defensive FAs has Joe Douglas signed so far?

Every time the Jets miss the playoffs (11 years in a row) are you not going to be upset?

If the Jets have another 2-14, 4-13 or even 6-11 season it's obvious that what Joe Douglas has been doing in Free Agency; isn't working.

Annoys me to think by haggling over a couple of million here and there we’ve allowed a lose a  talent who we really wanted to sign for someone else. Miss here on JD I don’t care what any of the JD lovers think.

Exactly.

Especially considering the fact he could've just released a couple of scrub TEs or O-Linemen and made up for the difference in cap savings (and then some).

I give JD an F- for dropping the Marcus Williams ball.

Not a single player we've signed is a scrub

Joe Douglas has signed a lot of FA scrubs since arriving.

But there was no excuse to not land Marcus Williams.

Ozzie Newsome his "mentor" did though 🤭😆🤭.

Daniel Son just got embarrassed by Mr. Miyagi.

And now our Safety talent will be stinking awful heading into the draft.

Your JD can do no wrong is worrisome.

Heading into FA with the 2nd most available Salary Cap Space + the NFLs #1 ranked Draft Capital?

There will become a 0.00% tolerance for excuses if his Jets have another 2-14 or 4-13 type of season.

6-11 won't even be good enough.

Dont bother some fans just wanna be insufferable. Reality...Ravens are a first class ORG. Jets are getting out of the basement.

Funny how the same guy Joe Douglas learned from in Ozzie Newsome knew how to close the deal on the NFLs #1 and best Free Safety in Marcus Williams.

But Joe Douglas didn't know how to get it done.
