Mac’s video taping scandal happened in the 2010 game in London, which I believe occurred in late October. He was fired a few weeks later. That was only part of the reason. Ellis, to his credit, recognized his mistake.
jrry32
Zero surprise. We all know what the Patriots were doing too.

SkippyX
I will accept the Denver Post as a confirmation. (of course) https://www.denverpost.com/2010/11/27/broncos-videotape-scandal-results-in-fine-embarrassment/ “As best we could conclude, (it was) a single action carried out by a single employee,” said NFL executive vice president Jeff Pash. McDaniels’ mistake, in the league’s eyes, was not reporting the incident. Senior Broncos executives, including Bowlen and Ellis, didn’t learn about the video until Nov. 8. Ellis and Pash, citing a confidentiality policy, would not say who eventually informed team officials that Scarnecchia taped a portion of the 49ers’ practice. I did a little research because its hard to take someone seriously if they can't remember what year they had a 6 game win streak and what year they were terrible. DJ Williams was confused about the details. McDaniels was fired because he was 5-17 in his last 22 games. He was fired about a month after the Broncos leadership found out about the incident. kramxel
Seems like some babble over a couple of glasses of wine, mixed in with some real events. The incidente was brushed at the time, and nothing really came out of it. Still to understand what is the "new" part in this news.
