So satisfying to see Byard recognized. Last year I went to bat for him so hard about him being the most underrated player in the league. Then he laid an absolute stinker of a year. Really pissed me off lol. So happy to see him bounce back this season.

Shout out to Big Jeff too. He’s only going to get better which is a scary thought.

Safe to say by now that Byard is the best DB this franchise has ever seen. Had a couple *** try to say Griffin was(must’ve been Ruskie). Griffin had a couple very good seasons and then fell off a cliff once the talent around him did. Byard had a down year last year but I’m putting that solely on that god awful scheme. Then he’s right back at the top this year. This might actually be the year he’s had a pretty solid pass-rush. Nobody else really comes close to what Byard has been with this team as a DB. He isn’t far off from the greatest defensive player ever for the franchise either.

Close, I would say he's most likely going to go down as the best defender we've ever had, but I'm not sure I'd give it to him yet over Bulluck.

I mean, I don’t think second team all pro is a snub in Simmons case, but….

was Aaron Donald really the best DT in the league this year?

NOT THIS YEAR ...  ALL ABOUT HIS NAME AND PAST YEARS.  He wasn't bad but didn't out perform Simmons though Simmons leveled off the last few games.
