Official 2022 Draft Discussion

I see four very specific scenarios how Day 1 shapes out.

1. Trade Out - Death, taxes and this.

2. OL - Not going to be sexy at all and Patriot fans will loathe this, but if they were to play a game tomorrow, the biggest absolute need on this roster is another starting OL (or two). I hope it's a Tackle. Guards can be found later and Tackles cannot. This may also allow Wynn to kick inside where he should be.

3. Defensive Georgia player - I got a feeling we'll end up with a few of these in this draft.

4. Dax Hill - I'm convinced he's as similar a prospect as McCourty was and I think Bill sees the same thing. Only this time Dax is molded the other way at CB.

You can forget that ever happening. Wynn would hold out and the agent would go nuts. LT where the moneys at  and Wynn is going to be FA. $ suicide!!!

Jonnu isn't going anywhere my friend

To bad I can't wait til he's out of here. I hated the signing.

@DoleINGout makes a good point with TE. We only have two on the roster. The other are useless. Two bust in one draft!!!!

I haven't looked much at TE but I do love Trey McBride. Does BB have the balls to take him in 2nd RD!!! The other TE I like is Jake Ferguson. Forget the UCLA kid waste of  pick.

Trey McBride reminds me of Cooper Kupp playing TE.

I mentioned earlier trading Harris. So I looked at what I have on RBs.

IMO  a great RB gives me 4 yards. I don't care about anything else running the ball. Break away speed don't care!!!

Cory Dillon was a perfect back.

Guys listed are RB that will go later in the draft starting in the 4th.

1. Hassan Haskins --------   I might even go as high as 3rd for him, if we trade Harris during the draft.

2. Tyrion Davis-Price

3. Eric Gray   ------- I like Sooner RBs  !!!!!!!!😁

5.  Snoop Conners

7.  Tyler Goodson  ------ Little small but he is Steve's backup.

8. Sincere McCormick  ------  MY sleeper. I love this guy.

I'm not sure Wynn has shown enough consistency to leverage a big contract from anyone, but with the way crappy teams overpay in FA these days, I wouldn't be surprised.

I think it would be likely too this off-season if not for the friendship with Mac. I think Harris is still a productive guy and good teammate who helps Mac so I see Harris as much less likely to be traded than the other people mentioned; Agholor, Harry, Wynn, Jonnu, Jones, or Godchaux.

I'm not sure you'll get value for Harris.. he's very good and underrated in this league. They got a 4th and 6th  for Sony.. I kind of doubt you'd get much more than that just because the RB position isn't though highly of.

If he does well and gets paid next year.. maybe you get a 4th round comp for him? If you get a day 2 pick I'd be more inclined to trade him even if I do love the guy as a player.. he feels like a perfect Patriot. I'm really curious as to if there even is a price that BB would keep him or if he just wants rookie money at RB forever.

@m haynesThoughts on Nick Cross?

I haven't watched any tape on him yet but from a pure athletic standpoint he's very comparable to Dax Hill. People are mocking him in the 70-90 range and just based off his measuables that seems like insane value.

If they do decide to go OL in the first, could you see him as a Dax Hill consolation prize in the 3rd?

I looked at Coke Cola and Ruckerts.

Cola    he look good on film but writes basically say he's soft. I don't see it but it is a highlight vid.

Ruckert impossible to judge him on Vids.  He's wide open on every play.  I did read an article that said he's should of chose another college, to show his skills.

State doesn't use TE much in passing game.

Will look at a few later. Wife has me doing the Frigging Flower beds!!!!

I like Harris but if they are worried about Mac we are all in trouble.  Good business is a trade. Unless you have understanding with Harris about staying, if not you you a wasting an asset the can help the future.  He traded Milloy I don't see why Harris is not available to trade.

I have no idea with this guy.  The eye test, things I see. tough, looks like a bowling ball, a little stiff in the hips, but he can play but it's difficult to say he worth a 3rd. the later the Rd the better choice if you take him. His numbers shocked me, everything but speed, straight line he looks fast. He has a play in his HL vid where he flies to the side line to help make a play. Every time I hear his name that play comes  (peanut) brain. Great play but ugly as heck.

He's like Leo Chenal. Very ugly but with good numbers. Ugly looking not his game.
