DaPatsKid98
I seen a video last night that made a good point…. Strange had a really good Senior Bowl. Bill wasn’t at the senior bowl… He was on vacation. So this really feels like he delegated this selection into the hands of Matt Groh

Lol!! @Crimmage @m haynes ask yourselves this, aside from the fact that it’s quite fun, is there any point doing mock drafts going forward?! Sorry at this time Haynes no longer can type or function. He broke both hands smashing his walls and destroying his TV last night. As of this time his doctor has him on complete bed rest. Sorry but he keeps mumbling and we can't seem to help him at this time. Wilson,Richards idiot Wilson Richards idiot!!!!

They do for all positions, that's why they seem to always take 2-3 senior bowl guys. He apparently made a lot of progress throughout the week at the Senior Bowl.. he had trouble picking up the system right away but stayed late and figured it out by the end.. little things like that I'm sure they liked. On top of the fact that he is an elite athlete.

Hunter2_1
I don't have a problem with the player. I really don't. That's a 10 year starter, a great character, a leader, a fighter, a guy with heart and talent. It's a massive reach.
Hunter2_1
HERES MY PREDICTION FOR 2ND PICK OK, give me three shots.... 1. Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn 2. Marcus Jones, CB, Houston (good nickel corner, return specialist, injured) 3. Christian Harris, LB, Bama All reaches Edited April 29, 2022 by Hunter2_1
Crimmage
In all honesty we should be blaming Caserio for his horrendous pick which is why we saw this reach. BB got baited into a run on IOL. Green should have been a 28-35 guy.. Zion went probably 5+ picks too soon too.. so after BB traded back he felt that Strange was going to go early too. Kiper had Strange going 60 to Tampa.. A few other people had him in the 60's too. So if they felt Strange was the #3 OG in this draft they knew a team would probably reach on him because of the fact that the first two guys went early. Rams saying he would have been there at 104 is ridiculous.. he was never going to be there, even on mock drafts he usually went in the 70's... but on most of those mock drafts Zion went ~25 and Green around 35... it's probably a reach of like 10-15 picks at the end of the day. The reach I don't care about, I'm sure they can turn him into a good player.. it could have been Zion at 29 and I would have been just as grumpy.. I just didn't want the position in the 1st round. I just find it so hard to believe that you couldn't find a team to trade back into the 1st and pick up an extra pick.. move back 5-10 spots ( STILL GET STRANGE) and pick up another 3rd .. I would have still been sad but at least you've got better value / more picks. The only saving grace is the fact that they didn't take him at 21.. they made a really good value trade and can get 2 2nd round picks if they feel like it. They could trade 85 and 121 to get to the end of the 2nd I'd imagine. I'm moving on from the Strange pick.. TODAY determines this draft.. you can't mess up the 2-4 picks you make today.. you need impact players who help you win NOW.

I think it's much more likely they reach on Zyon McCollum at 54 than McCreary or Jones. Jones is a strong candidate for 85, although he could get picked a bit earlier than that. I'm happy with Jones as a pick assuming he isn't the only DB taken. Harris at 54 isn't a reach, the guy has legit speed. No chance he makes it to 85, you'd be looking at a guy like Beavers there who is much slower. If they want to play this positionless defense where you only have 1 ILB on the field.. he's a great fit. He is a 4.4 guy who can fly all over the field and make plays. My only thought on that is I think they may like Troy Anderson more because he is just as fast and bigger.. only way they go Harris is because of Alabama and he is more pro ready. I don't like Harris. A sickening amount of missed tackles. I get he's maybe not a reach, and someone may pluck him early 2nd, but I really don't like him, personally. If he can be coached to be a better tackler, then fine - good pick

It shows the disparity in coaching for that unit between the NFL and the rest of the country. I don't have much of a quip with that and it is not wise to doubt Scarrnechia even if he likes Nate Solder.
