Hats off to Ziegler and McDaniels, they really did just retool the roster rather than tear it down/rebuild. Would still love to add Bradberry but overall our team is looking pretty damn deep/talented.

Excited to see what we can do, I think one of the keys for us to reach our full potential will be the young guys stepping up.  On offense we need guys like Edwards, Leatherwood, Parham, and James to play well. And on defense we need guys like Moehrig, Hobbs, Deablo to take the next step. If guys like Farrell Jr/Butler can contribute that'd be a huge boost as well.

this is my thoughts on starters:

make or break year: Jacobs, A James, Ferrell, Mullen, Averett, Rock, Abram

starters probably on their last year: Good, Hankins, Perryman

Hopefully they make a jump: Leatherwood, Moehrig, Hobbs, Deablo

starters who are meh: D Robinson, Good, Abram

grade for Depth:

QB: Solid

RB: Solid

WR: below average- could use someone else

TE: average

OL- below average

DE: below average

DT: Solid

LB: Solid

Edge: Solid

CB: Solid

S: below average, could use a guy

UDFA CB's always have a chance to stick. He has some good physical tools so it would be great to have another late round CB find.

Yeah I think there's a legit chance he could make it as our 6th CB over Robertson. I've heard we still may look to add a veteran CB to the group though.

I agree with most of this.  I would say our WR's are above average considering Adams is a top 3 NFL WR and Renfrow is a top 3 slot WR.  Robinson and Cole are #4 WR's who will see significant time but most likely limited targets.  I don't mind them as depth pieces but are below average starters.

That is a reason why I have been advocating taking a shot on Will Fuller.  Add Fuller to Adams, Renfrow and Waller and we have arguably the top WR corp in the NFL.  Fuller has also shown to be quite effective with limited targets.  If he is healthy he could provide the most value at this point in FA.

Oline could use more proven depth for sure.  I haven't looked too much in the remaining Oline FA's so I don't know who would be a good addition but I'm sure an upgrade is out there.

I do agree that our De's are average.  Another injury prone player who would be an interesting depth addition is Trey Flowers.  He has a history with JM and has proven that he can get after the Qb when healthy.

I think Keenan Cole will be the other starter on the outside, he has had some decent years of production with terrible QB play throughout his career. I'd love Fuller too but if we don't sign him I hope that we use Tyron Johnson. I think he's the biggest sleeper on the team, legit 4.3 speed, produced for the Chargers, just didn't play for us last year for whatever reason.

Daryl Williams, Marcus Cannon, Flowers, JC Tretter still a few guys out there.

Trey Flowers, Suh, Campbell, or Hicks would be good pick ups.
