I think it’s an even better reduction than that.  I think it’s almost zero cap impact to sign draft picks….

The 51st contract on the team is currently $705k but after all the recent signings like Bars, Bolden, Abdullah, etc get added to the list… the 51st player will have a cap hit of $825k.   So only the 3rd and 4th picks would be in top 51 and only cost 246k more.  But if our 2 5ths make the team then they cost 58k less…. And all in all it only costs 188k… plus the dead cap hit(1/2 of the SB, which is 126k = 63k) of pick 228 since he’s prolly getting cut…. And we’re out the door at 251k
