I mean.... would you really say he played more aggressively than Jenkins coming out or Smith? They both played/play like rabid dogs. Faalele on the other hand, I've seen tape of him folding a guy in half with a punch/stiffarm. It's not really a knock on Borom to say he's the least physical player out of a group of downright killers.... Now, I suppose you could justifiably make the argument he's more physical than Daniels.... but in this hypothetical scenario that's irrelevant until Daniels stops being the best option at Center.... and that doesn't look like it's something that will change in this draft class unless we got Linderbaum. Bowler1215
Sounds like a good hire. We'll know in a few years. Hopefully he's here a long time and not a few years where we're doing this crap again.

The Bears will host Matt Eberflus in the morning and Dan Quinn in the afternoon, league sources said. Doubt the order of the interviews matter but to be it will be one of these two...both would be really good...probably prefer Eberflus just for the intensity more but Quinn offers a lot. Madmike90
Benjamin Allbright @AllbrightNFL · 7m I'm not gonna do this all night with everybody. Chicago may hire Dan Quinn it is a possibility. That said the Broncos are scheduled to interview him later this week.

God that blurb really tells us nothing about him. I’m ready for the data to come in - who does he hire as HC? Who does he draft in 2022? These will give us a hint of if this guy is legit or another mistake.
G08
Re: Dan Quinn By all accounts, he's been crushing his interviews and reportedly has an "all-star" coaching staff ready to come with him if/when hired. The rumblings for offensive coordinator are such that you look at current NFL Head Coaches that are play callers, it would be their OC. Some names: Kevin O'Connell - Rams Mike Kafka - Chiefs Pete Carmichael - Saints Mike McDaniel - 49ers Alex Van Pelt - Browns etc
Sugashane
On a positive note if there is an acclaimed QB coach - Ken Dorsey for example - or other OC that doesn't call plays then the other franchise cant block them anymore. still obvious risk involved but we're can still get someone who can specialize with Fields. As long as our new OC is the playcaller and wasnt previously we can get whoever.

Madmike90
Having slept on it there are two things I woke up thinking this morning... 1. I really hope alongside the demand to pick his own HC Poles demanded he gets to structure his front office staff how he wants...George might think he doesn't need a VP of football operations between him and Poles and that's fine...but everything under Poles has to be his decision...if he wants an assistant GM or 2 or 3 executives under him or even a random new title like cap specialist we have to allow him to hire as many or as few guys as he needs to make it work...don't force a single current front office guy on him...let him decide for himself. 2. As much as I really like Matt Eberflus and all things equal would probably prefer him over Quinn as HC the comment Poles made regarding given guys 2nd chances and valuing talent over 1st indiscretions makes me wonder if Eberflus might be too disciplined as a leader...Quinn seems more laid back and a positive motivator...Poles seems pretty laid back from the little I have saw of him... Interesting thing I heard on the Athletic though...Poles & Eberflus share the same agent and Poles has a direct link to Chris Ballard for information on him...Poles & Eberflus have had a friendship for the last few years... Also thinks that Matt Ryan could be one of the connections between Ryan Poles...who was his roommate and protected him at BC and Dan Quinn...Quinn and Mike Kafka share and agent and they believe Poles could value that as he could come in as OC...we could see Kafka with both Quinn or Eberflus IMO. Madmike90
Jim Nagy @JimNagy_SB 9m Ryan Poles was an excellent GM choice by #Bears. See some on here questioning his age (36) but that shouldn’t be a concern. We worked together his first four years in KC after he just got out college & he was mature beyond his years and always handled himself like a professional. Madmike90
Something else to add to the Quinn vs. Eberflus scenario...if Quinn really does have the staff he says he does then that is a huge tick in the box for him and something I doubt Eberfous can compete with...I feel more strongly than I have over the past few days that Quinn is the guy we want and Eberflus is the guy we will take if we can't lock Quinn in... The Broncos seem to be going the way of Hackett meaning the only other place to be concerned about is NY where he will be competing with Daboll, Frazier & probably Flores...if Poles can make a strong enough pitch to him today then maybe we don't let him get to any other interview...and again...Ryan Pace feels screwed 😂
