vike daddy
Mark Wilf: “We are thrilled to welcome Kwesi to the Minnesota Vikings. His unique background, variety of strong football experiences, vision for success and leadership presence immediately stood out to us. Kwesi is naturally committed and driven to building the best teams through consensus building and the pursuit of information. We believe he will immediately make us better as a team and organization.” Adofo-Mensah: “I am extremely thankful to the Wilf family and the Vikings organization for giving me the opportunity to lead our football operations and join this respected franchise. There is so much to appreciate about this organization — an existing nucleus of talent on the roster, top-notch facilities, passionate fans and smart people throughout the building who are committed to winning. I look forward to partnering with our next head coach and our entire football operations staff to begin our work of bringing a Super Bowl to Vikings fans.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/01/26/vikings-announce-kwesi-adofo-mensahs-hiring/
vike daddy
Andrew Berry: "No. 1, it's his general cognitive abilities. He's a super, super bright guy, and that comes across within the first two minutes that you meet him. No. 2, and probably just as importantly, it's just people skills. You could see how he had been able to build relationships across a number of different groups during his time at San Francisco in a role that can be very challenging, because you have to be able to not only develop analytic insights, but communicate them and get people to buy in. And then the other thing was just his breadth of understanding of the sport and football operations. So even though he had formally just led the 49ers' research group, you could tell that he understood team building, people, relationships and managerial skills at a much higher level." https://www.vikings.com/news/kwesi-adofo-mensah-general-manager-5-things Edited January 27, 2022 by vike daddy

vike daddy
Adofo-Mensah: "Analytics is about evolution, not revolution. We take this framework that has been used for years, and we're just applying it to different things. We're creating decision rules, and we're determining how those decision rules will help us in the future. There are lots of things that can occur in the future, and it's our job and obligation to study them, understand the risks and choose a course of action that will put us in a good situation no matter what happens. Heimdallr
From the press conference: WIlf's opening comments on Kwesi: tremendous leader, loves building consensus, believes in strong communication, already deeply involved with HC search. Kwesi's opening comments: Felt it was an immediate fit, impressed with the search committee, felt energized after interview, talented roster, felt it was meant to be. His fiance bought Vikings hat immediately after first interview. His first step is to go around and meet everyone and then dive into HC search. Really emphasized importance of communication and relationships. Very, very good speaker. Emotional.
SemperFeist
Has anyone else noticed the Zygi Wilf has been virtually nonexistent around this team over the past couple of years? It’s certainly been very obvious this offseason. Mark Wilf is clearly the face of ownership, now. Which is a shift from early in their ownership.

When the Wilf's bought Orlando City (MLS) a year or two ago, Mark was the frontman for that too.
