Techbert
Draft reasoning: Thibs: Talked about him. He has better strength than you realize, too. I think he can do some things Hutch cannot do. Across from Hendrickson and with Nwosu moving around, pass rush is now a team strength. McBride: Offered the best combo of receiving and blocking skills this year. I have some really good wideouts, and Trey fills the gaps. Should have a solid to plus air game next year. Travis Jones: Has great traits, but right now all he can do is push the pocket back. Harder to do in the NFL than at the Senior Bowl. But he is strong and athletic and can learn and will be hard to move in the short term. Drafted for the long term, but he should help the job of the edges by taking away the qb step up, and I can convert to a odd front with him and Brown at the nose. I think IDL rotation is a good thing, and I have more IDL to rotate now. Chenal: Strong and athletic. Weapon against the inside run game. Hard to block and will grow. Zyon: Not ready yet but a football player and an athletic freak. Tacen Anderson: Another athletic freak who is not ready. Safety takes a while to learn and he can do so on special teams. Araiza: My second punter behind Stout, but the better headline. Too many good players to pick a punter before 6, despite the joke narrative. He will be able to flip the field, as everyone is saying. Strong: I need a backup quarterback. The league says he will not come back from injuries, but I can hope. UDFA: I got some great athletes, including Armani Rogers converting from qb to te and initially looks scary good on routes. Overall, a defensive draft. I added to my pass rush cred while getting stronger against the run. Everyone has long term potential. No one is frail.

Techbert
Pre-Opener Notes: After the initial cut-down day, I had 6 of 8 drafter rookies make the team. The two that did not are Matt Araiza, for non-physical reasons, and Carson Strong, who I am still watching. I also have 8(!) rookie undrafted free agents make a 53-man roster. So I still have 57 58 people on my 53 man roster. So I will cut 4 5 that actually made a team, which makes me proud. I will give the league 48 hours to do a cut or two for me, and then I will finish the job. I am too heavy or close at rb, te, og, c, lb, and especially cb and s. If I had to cut today, and it is my simulation, I would cut two three vets and two rookies. Quality-wise, I think my offense is league average and my defense is not humiliating anymore. I still need to figure out what to do at punter, but all the other positions have defensible players and depth. I still have a few journeymen starters, but next year will be more stable. Techbert
It doesn't mean anything, but last week I had the AFC Offensive POTW, NFC Offensive POTW, and AFC Defensive POTW. Trevor Lawrence, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Trey Hendrickson. Gratz, guys. So the team had a good week.
Techbert
I am behind schedule on evaluation of my record. I am digging deeper than normal, pulling out snap count info. Because my qb is Trevor, I use the Jags schedule and division so it is entirely possible the team made the playoffs, even though that would be a year ahead of my planning. If so, I will use the Jags as my model and will go as deep into the playoffs as the Jags go. All I know is my coach won in round 1 and my qb won in round 1 and Any Given Sunday and all that. Meanwhile, I will be preparing for the draft and preparing for my next mass signing of journeymen. Wake me after the Super Bowl. I should know within a calendar week if the team made the playoffs, but at this moment I may have a case for it.
Techbert
Confirmed. Same record as Jax. 9-8. Started slow. Got warm. They are not the same team as the Jags, but definite similarities. I more than welcome dissenting views.
