.Buzz
Figured we could use a thread to discuss staff hires/potential guys to look at as Doug assembles his staff. So far: It also sounds like Phil Rauscher who was the OL coach this year in MIN may be coming here in the same role. Worked under Bill Callahan in WAS. Promising hire if we land him. .Buzz
Wonder if we try to pluck anyone. If Fangio comes here this seems like it’d be good news for the defensive staff. Hackett is making some super questionable decisions already based on the above and the hires he’s made so far imo.
Danger
Doug more than any other coach I've ever seen will always go for the guy he is familiar with over the most qualified guy for the job. So Andrew Breiner is a surefire bet.
.Buzz
Teryl Austin staying in PIT as DC. Pettine the “favorite” in MIN. Wink Martindale the favorite in NYG. Denver planning on hiring Evero A whole lot of spots drying up without any of Fangio/Caldwell/Schwartz being swooped up yet.

.Buzz
Dilla said on the Bold Take Pod that Mike Caldwell was in the building the entire day yesterday, so I imagine we get that hiring today. As I said in the other thread, feel like the McCoy hiring is a rock solid hire for QB Coach too. I’m not sure if he was OC or bust the past couple years, but he’s worked with some great ones over his time and worked up the ranks from said position and still only 49. It’s nice to have a former HC with a lot of experience to head that room for Lawrence. Also helps quiet the whole “won’t go outside of his few guys in Philly” bit which is nice. Chops013
Kind of hope Nagy is brought in as the OC and Press Taylor is a Quality Control guy or something.
