Might be more work than I am willing to do to sift through all the trades for each team and calculate the "draft capital" traded away for players. SInce the bust rate for draft picks is high, it might be a better use of resources to trade those picks away for more established players. You gain the knowledge of the players ability at an NFL level, you lose the cheap rookie contract that may or may not become a valuable asset. It's not really a sustainable way of doing business IMO.

incognito_man
nice work! It may also be revealing to see what % of the team is made-up of those draft picks and undrafted free agents. i.e. a team with low draft capital + high percentage of roster made-up of those players (Green Bay) stands out as a team doing more with less. squire12
This is just for the 2017 roster as is this week. IF we go back a year, GB would have had a fairly big class of draft picks that were not resigned (Jones, Lacy, Tretter, Hyde). Which creates more space for the UDFA players. Might be a better process to look at the 4-5 year recent drafts and see what draft capital was used and how that stacks up to the rest of the league All the rosters are in the google sheets that is linked a few posts back. Feel free to sift through the info and post what you find.
