Matts4313
Didnt he have a horrible HC record or am I thinking of someone else? How do we feel @Dome? Pitchforks yay or nay?
AFlaccoSeagulls
I'm gonna need Saints fains input on this because this sure as heck seems uninspiring for a team that's historically offensive-minded.

I kinda think he can if the Saints scapegoat him to fix all those backed up years of salary void years and whatnot and trade talent for future picks. BayRaider
I don't view Allen as HC material. Solid Defensive mind, not quite a HC guy. We will see, maybe he'll prove me wrong. I think this is a one and done.
SkippyX
A guy less qualified than David Culley for a new HC gig, how refreshing.
ET80
So, guess Eric Bieniemy didn’t interview well for 8 hours yesterday…

stl4life07
Its baffling to me why Bieniemy keeps getting passed up for a head coaching job. Im not even saying Allen is the worst hire bc he knows the Saints, obviously the defense has been great with him and if the Saints offense isnt going to be anything to write home about at least you have a defense that can give the team a chance in what will be a wide open division next season. I just feel like Bieniemy and even Flores were guys that shouldve easily been the favs over Allen. In a way though its for the best bc Bieniemy and Flores wouldve inherited a Saints team with no QB, Kamara is in off the field troubles, Thomas we dont know if he truly wants to play for the Saints moving forward, and the Saints have a ton of cap issues so they might be purging some of their talent on the roster. Then the elephant in the room is Sean Payton. He still has 3yrs left on his Saints deal. I could see a scenario where in a year or two he comes back and the Saints would then demote Allen back to DC and give Payton his head coaching job back. If it was Bieniemy or Flores they might fire them just to get Payton back and that wouldnt be a great. So again in a way it might be a good thing one of those two coaches didnt get this job. But Im just looking at those guys were imo probably best for the job and didnt get it over Allen.
Abe56
This is who I expected them to hire once Payton made his announcement Still a bit uninspiring though he did a nice job this year that game he was interim hc vs TB

Continuity seems to be a big deal.
