Greatest single seasons...that were overshadowed by even better seasons

What are some of the greatest individual seasons you remember from players that are almost forgotten because they occurred during an even better season?

The biggest one that sticks out in my mind is when Ahman Green's 2003 season where he had 1883 yards, 18 rushing touchdowns at 5.3ypc + 50 receptions for 367 yards and 5 TDs. Problem was that it came during the same season Jamal Lewis rushed for 2000 yards and Priest Holmes rushed for 27 touchdowns.

Shaun Alexander won MVP in 2005. Here were his stats:

370 rushes, 1880 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, 15 catches, 78 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown

Here is Tiki Barber's 2005 season:

357 rushes, 1860 rushing yards, 9 rushing touchdowns, 54 catches, 530 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns

Alexander destroyed him in total touchdowns, but Tiki's 2390 total scrimmage yards in 2005 is the 4th best total all time. Christian McCaffrey beat him by just 2 yards (2392) in 2019.

Tiki actually had 3 consecutive 2000 scrimmage yard seasons from 2004-2006, his age 29, 30, and 31 seasons, then he retired.

Green reminds me of how big a disappointment the Packers never getting to a Super Bowl from 00-04 was.

Isaac Bruce didnt make the pro bowl 119 receptions and 1781 yards and 13 TDs

Robert Brooks didnt make it either with 1497 yards and 102 receptions and 13 TDs

Montana was terrific in 1984, but he got overshadowed by Marino's unreal 1984.

Of course, when it all mattered in the SB, Joe would show the world who the better of the two was.

Marino was up 10-7 that game, then the Fins' defense collapsed. Hmph. Montana went buck wild in the 2nd quarter, game over.

Tom Brady and Brees in 2011 are two of the best QB seasons ever, overshadowed by Rodgers 2011 which imo is the best QB season in history. 45-6 TD-INT Ratio with a combined 9.2 YPA, basically unheard of. Plus a 15-1 record.

Those 2 guys will be in the HoF. Matt Stafford topped 5k yds and had 41 tds in 2011 and basically gets an "oh, that's nice for you."

2011 has an unofficial *, the late start to camp gutted defenses that season. Prior to that year there had been only 2 5000 yards ever, then three in on year.

I wouldn't say it was "overshadowed," but still crazy that as good and dominant as Revis was in 2009, it was another CB that won DPOY (Woodson).

Another good one is Ed Reed in 2010.  Polamalu rightfully won DPOY, but in 10 games Reed recorded 8 INTs (led league) and 183 return yards (led league).

2008 had a LOT of great defensive performances that could have won DPOY in any given year.  Harrison, Ware, Reed, Polamalu, Haynesworth... all were absolute animals that year.

What comes to mind for me immediately is Daunte Culpepper's 2004 season. He probably wins First Team All-Pro if it wasn't for Peyton Manning's monster year. The Vikings going 8-8 didn't help matters either.

James Wilder had a great season in 1984 just coming up short in YRS behind Eric Dickerson (which is an entirely nutty story in itself).
