Dude went from Philly to Brooklyn and you think the criticisms are going to get easier? Right lol. But it's going to be easier for Simmons in Brooklyn since he can play the five in the closing line ups in the playoffs. That alone doesn't mean he will overcome his shortcomings either though. Will be interesting.

That seems like you're really oversimplifying the game of basketball

Simmons is an elite defender and great passer. He can't shoot. But Kevin Durant is literally the best shooting 7 footer on the planet. He's the ideal big to play next to Simmons. The game wasn't simple when he was next to Embiid lol You're forgetting that Kyrie will be around less than half the time. Nets aren't even guaranteed to get an actual playoff spot

stl4life07
Simmons to Brooklyn is a great fit bc he is an elite defender that is a great ball handler. He is going to be motivated to prove all the doubters wrong and watch that his best games will be against the 76ers so they better not meet them in the playoffs. KD and Kyrie scoring plus Mills, Curry, and possibly getting back Harris in the playoffs as light out 3pt shooters will be scary. Harden got what he wanted AGAIN but be careful what you ask for. Embiid is more injury prone than KD (comparing the best players on the 76ers and Nets) and Doc has a history with the Clippers and 76ers of epic series collapses. If the 76ers collapse again in a series the blame isn’t going to be on Embiid it’s going to be on Harden bc of his long history of choking in the playoffs. Can’t blame Simmons anymore so I want to see how long it will take before Harden will be unhappy with his situation in Philly and want out? My guess is in the 2023 season. If Philly fail this postseason and next postseason bc Embiid gets hurt and Doc epic playoff collapse and everyone is looking at Harden he will get upset AGAIN and want out after a season and a half. Just wait and see. I think his next destination will be going back to Houston in 2023 when the young guys are a little older and better and the team as a whole is looking promising just missing one piece that’s more experienced.
Jlash
When the playoffs hit and teams only have to guard 4 spots on the court against Brooklyn and Ben has to sit in crunch time because he's terrified of FT's people will see the fit isn't so simple. In the NFL OBJ drops all of a sudden went away immediately when he left Cleveland. Jlash
As a Sixers fan I don't wish any ill will on Simmons. If he finally decides to work on his flaws and becomes a truly great player, that's fine, because he's already shown he wasn't willing to do that here, so there wasn't any other option.
