Nick Rose or Dustin Hopkins?

Rose is the better kicker. Rose also kicks the ball very low which is going to result in more and more blocks. For this reason alone you have to go back to Hopkins.

sounds like it is coachable though

I don't know about that. That's a mechanic thing, and it's really hard to change the muscle memory.

You certainly wouldn't do it during the season, that's for sure.

The good news for Rose is that he is now on the list of "kickers you can reasonably sign off the street." He's shown he can kick in live games when it matters. While they aren't pretty, they do go between the uprights and his kickoffs generally go in the endzone (10 of 14 are touchbacks). That's good enough to have a job in the NFL as a place kicker.

Kai Forbath has a job still...just sayin...

Hopkins, and it's not close. Rose isn't bad but I don't think he's as reliable as Hopkins.

I wouldn't really call Hopkins reliable. He's actually pretty shaky and I expect him to miss just as much as he makes.

Yes, because he's pretty much automatic from 50 and in and has occasionally made kicks of over 50.

Yeah, he should find himself lucky. 50% on kickoffs...that sucks for touchbacks.

He was perfect inside of 50 this year and kicks all of his kick offs out of the end zone. That’s reliable
