Update: Titans and City Agree on Building of a New Stadium

This city needs to put some serious thought in to it before putting a ton of money towards a stadium for a franchise that has let their stadium deteriorate to this degree. This is not acceptable for a stadium this young.

Something needs to be put in place to ensure the new stadium is taken far better care of than this before throwing that money at them.

What if they purposely sabotage the stadium to get the city to approve funding for a new stadium 🤔

The Titans organization isn't responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the current stadium. its the "sports Authority" (tax payers) per the lease agreement who are responsible for maintaining all of the professional sports stadiums in Nashville. The new facility would be the responsibility of the Titans.

YAY!!! It's been years since I went to a game (VYs 99 yard walk off) so I didn't see the "upgrades" made in the last few years but from what I remember we need a new one.

And I'm alll for a dome but can we PLS keep grass and not bring in the turf. We have enough injury problems no need to add more risk and with the tech these new stadiums have theres no reason not to have real grass

Q: What kind of playing surface will there be in the new stadium?

BN: "The playing surface in the new stadium will be artificial turf. Our plan would be to install the absolute best, technologically-advanced field surface available when the stadium is ready. There are some incredibly innovative products that combine the consistency and durability of field turf with the feel and performance of a grass and dirt surface. We'll continue to learn more about these leading technologies and collaborate with turf experts as we go through the stadium planning process."

Wish it was grass.

What Titans Fans Need to Know About the New Stadium Project (tennesseetitans.com)

Q: You mentioned the building will be enclosed. Is there a building in the NFL it will be similar to inside?

BN: "In terms of the interior design and experience, Allegiant Stadium (in Las Vegas), is probably as closed as it gets. It's a translucent roof, like Allegiant. The translucent roof lets daylight through, and it creates a really special experience within an enclosed facility. We are also picturing using quite a bit of glass on the sides to focus on letting as much daylight as possible into the building. In terms of the seating mix, Allegiant is probably the most comparable. It's an efficient design like theirs, and it focuses on the diversity of the experience like Allegiant does. There's not a bad seat in the house like Allegiant. But everything about this building will be uniquely Nashville. In terms of the exterior architecture, there's never been anything like it.

lol We would spend 2+ billion on a stadium just to do some stupid **** like put turf in it.

A ton(or any, really) glass is such a dumb idea too. Make the roof retractable if you want the option to let sunlight and etc in.

Hopefully they don't screw it up like Dallas' stadium where the team gets blinded by the sun in certain areas of the field about 2-3 times a year.
