The season is halfway over, so its time to do another update on player grades. Again, I'm rounding up and down all the numbers, so no decimals. Keep in mind that these grades aren't based upon just the last 4 games, its based upon the whole season. Spoiler alert, nearly half of the players I'm about to list, fall under the "poor" category.

None of those numbers really seem out of line.  The team is just...bad.  And what makes it worse is that they're so clearly relying on those players that are playing bad.

Ignoring the positions where they don't really have any choice:

Jeremy Hill - starter
Brandon Lafell - starter
Michael Johnson - starter (although playing ok)
Pat Sims - starter
Nick Vigil - playing a ton (starting?)
Adam Jones - starter
Dre Kirkpatrick - starter

Now i'll buy the argument that if you bench some of those guys, the replacements would go from average grades to poor grades from being overexposed.  But probably not all of them.  And at this point, they don't have much to lose.  Time to play all the young guys and see what 2018 will look like.
