Just Want A Title
I saw this today and it looks like Jeff Okudah's rehabilitations is progressing nicely. I still think his best future might be as a safety but it is good to seem him running. https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2022/2/22/22946251/video-detroit-lions-cb-jeff-okudah-running-again-5-months-after-achilles-injury
Sllim Pickens
This is good to hear. If he isn't doing the new treatment that Akers did, he should start. But glad to hear is running. After seeing our young CBs develop for a year with Glenn/Pleasant, I am sad he didnt get a chance to prove himself this year. I also think he makes a better Safety with his skill set but perhaps he would develop more as well and be worth the top 3 pick.
LionArkie
I was under the impression Ackers had a tear which although serious, is not as serious as a rupture which Okudah had?
Louis Friend
I'm not ready to give up on Okudah just yet. I want Pleasant to get a chance with the guy before I call it a wash in Detroit. And if he can pan out, Okudah, Oruwariye, Melifonwu, Jacobs... that's a bright young core in the secondary.
Just Want A Title
This is an interesting take from Dan Campbell. He says Okudah is staying at CB but does leave the door open. https://sports.yahoo.com/dan-campbell-jeff-okudah-sticking-215419715.html
LionArkie
He's looking good, but I wonder what the chances are that's an NFL wide receiver? This guy coming back strong would be huge if he can make it all click. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/jeff-okudah-offers-a-promising-video-update-on-his-injury-recovery/ar-AAVzI28

Maybe the move Okudah at that point to safety... Food for thought. Edited April 1, 2022 by BarryTheBest

Food for thought. I don't think I'd take Sauce at 2 but I could see him in play if we traded down and he was BPA. I recall that Okudah was getting a lot of buzz as a guy that could play in the slot when it was draft time. I wonder if the plan would be to play him in more of the Will Harris role with time inside, outside and at safety.

I do recall reading that. I do not think I would, but Holmes did say they have multiple players at multiple positions they are comfortable with at two. NFL_Fan
If they draft Gardner at 3 I laugh. I laugh so hard I might never be able to laugh that hard again.

diehardlionfan
In the Kirwin - Miller draft they selected Trayvon Walker for the Lions.

Interesting the Lions had a number of people at KT’s pro day.
