Humble_Beast
That list just bugged me, and continues to this day. Who do you think was robbed of the NBA 75 team. Yao Ming Paul Gasol Manu Tracy Mcgrady Dwight Howard Kyrie Irving Vince Carter Chris Bosh *in no order no way those guys didn't make it. some of those old heads, Westbrook, Dame had no business on that list. NBA 100 needs to be revamped to have the top 100. Less politics and older eras don't get locked in because they were on the previous team. Texansfan713
Dwight definitely. The guy was dominant with the Magic and had good seasons with the Lakers (first stint), and Rockets. Look at this accolades. 8 time all star 3 time DPOY 8 time all NBA player NBA champ in 2020

RandyMossIsBoss
First things first, people have to realize this was really like a top 25 for the last 25 years (+ any snubs from top 50) because they were never gonna remove anyone from the original 50. Dwight over Dame is biggest no brainer to me. That’s 2 players whose legacies/legacy I a lived/am living through, and I just can’t understand it. That’s only one I have major issue with. However, personally I’d also have had: TMac over Miller Pau over Carmelo That’s really it. Now I don’t think Westbrook or Pierce deserve top 75, or Monroe from original list, but I wouldn’t replace them with guys from the last 25 years, it’d be further back like Bernard King, English, Dumars, and I know that’s not how process worked. They didn’t start from scratch.
Kip Smithers
Dwight for sure. Tmac too. Bosh was a miss given the all star appearances and how much rings matter. Kyrie is polarising in the whole NBA world. Fans and media don’t rate him as highly because he’s not a “winning player” but players rate him with highest regard and give him so much respect. Mox
Dwight had a case over like 20 guys who were there. He's by far the biggest one left off.

Have to wonder if he didn't have that failed year as a Laker with Kobe, if his legacy would be viewed differently.

Humble_Beast
so disgraceful how disrespected this man is, easily has a better legacy than Harden, Westbrook, and Dame... should have been on there over all them

Harden: 1x MVP, 10x All-Star, 6x 1st Team All-NBA, 1x 3rd Team All-NBA, 3x scoring champion, 1x assist leader, 1x 6th MOY Westbrook: 1x MVP, 9x All-Star, 2x 1st Team All-NBA, 5x 2nd Team All-NBA, 2x 3rd Team All-NBA, 2x scoring champion, 3x assist leader Lillard: 6x All Star, 1x 1st Team All-NBA, 4x 2nd Team All-NBA, 1x 3rd Team All-NBA Irving: 1x NBA champion, 7x All-Star, 1x 2nd Team All-NBA, 2x 3rd Team All-NBA He has no argument over Harden or Westbrook and you'd essentially be rewarding Irving for being teammates with LeBron in the East instead of CJ McCollum in the West if you pick him over Lillard. He made an all-time shot, but that alone doesn't make up for his lacking everywhere else on their resumes. Obviously hindsight will hurt Westbrook, but on paper he absolutely dwarfs Irving. Harden and Russ are guys who be remembered as high usage guys who played for stats. Dumb media rewarded them with MVPs too. I disregard the MVP because its played out by media narratives. I seen Kobe robbed too many times to value the award. Russ never evolved his game to be a shooter or play smarter. Man still pointed fingers at others for his shortcomings, Russ needs an ego death. Hence Durant wanting to leave him. Harden always played that weak style of baiting refs. When the playoffs are more intense he always folded. Lillard just been a ghost in the playoffs besides one year. He's a great scorer and shoot, but can't carry his team to greatness like Curry. When you think of the 2010s best teams, you think of the Cavs battling the Warriors. Kyrie playing on great teams and didn't care about the accolades and stats. I admire a player in that nature, eventually he grew tired of the high usage Lebron. Lebron always got all the glory so Kyrie had to move on and prove himself. Kyrie is skilled with the ball and his hands, and he will aged gracefully due to his skill level. Kyrie is iconic with his handles, one of the best in history. He even has his own movie because he is a special hooper. Edited April 14, 2022 by Humble_Beast
