Keeping hopper and letting clowney walk. Brilliant move Berry. Now we get to use a pick on a position we could have just resigned.

I mean, he’s a free agent.  Unless they wanted to tag him, which may or may not have been a whole other problem, he has the ability to choose to go elsewhere.

I think we all want to keep him, but I can’t blame any FO for being hesitant about locking up a second DE who is a “good” (not great) player to a huge long term deal.  Especially when they’re 29 and havent played 16 games in a season once and it was 5 years ago.

Like Zel said, we need a longer term solution that isn’t 15-20 million a year.

It's just frustrating, because it's just "one more hole" to fill. I know we needed an EDGE aside from Clowney, but now we need an EDGE replacement AND a 3rd rusher with Takk gone to boot.

Our WR were dead last in the NFL in pass receptions last year, and that's not all on scheme. That whole room needs revamped, and we could still use a true MIKE LB and a true FS.

Hopefully FA fills some of these voids, but it's tough losing good players.

Might not be as hard as we all think, there are many angles we can take and have a great front for not a lot of resources

Draft: Travon Walker, Trade up for Thibodeaux if he drops, Jermaine Johnson or Karlaftis, or even use a late round flyer on Adam Anderson

Free Agent:Za'Darius Smith,Emmanuel Ogbah, Charles Harris,Arden Key, Kemoko Turay, Dorance Armstrong,

Trade: K'Lavon Chaisson, Yetur Gross-Matos, Boogie Basham, AJ Epenesa

We can’t sit on our hands. We have some needs. I think we are going to have a difficult time convincing a helpful receiver to sign with us so we may need to trade for one. If we can’t bring Clowney back we are going to need to at least do something in free agency at the position also. We can’t just fill losses through the draft we need to upgrade.

Free agency will be telling.

Regardless, I don't think that a free agent signing prevents us from drafting a WR, DT, or DE in Round 1. I think all of those are on the table, with DT being the least likely R1 per our FO's philosophy.

Not should it, it should always be BPA

IMO, BPA outside of RB,

I’m assuming you’re just sayin in R1, but if we don’t keep DJ, I think a day 3 pick is great here.

TE

Maybe not R1, but I feel like we need something here.  20 million a year for a Njoku and Hooper is…. not ideal.

, CB,

Yeah I’d imagine we can take a pass on CB this year.

and OL if they're certain on Conklin from a health standpoint.

Obviously not R1-2, but I’m not passing up a nice tackle prospect R3 or later.  Conklin is expensive and injury prone, Wills has yet to really prove anything, Hubbard is prolly gone, Hudson looks like a G, and Hance looks like a 5th string OT.

I should clarify:

I meant solely R1 for all of the above. I’d love Cook as a D3 RB tbh.

I’d argue we could still use a safety.  Preferably a true FS who can play deep and let Delpit and JJIII play closer to the LOS.

Maybe that’s LeCounte or Stewart, but even then we could use 1 more imo.

Hopefully Lecounte shows up. I forgot we are losing Ronnie Harrison, but he doesnt move the needle really
