Draft watch

Alexander had to be the guy championing Ogbuhi and Fisher that one draft.  He was the one who wanted Bodine and stubbornly sticks with him.  His hit rate on lineman outside of the top 40 is so spotty, the few who have actually been good after that in his tenure is so low a percentage that you could plausibly chalk those up to luck more so than identifying or developing talent.

Spotty?  Boling isn't enough to make up for all of the misses, especially the centers in round 4, plus guys like Fraegel and Hawkinson

What round was Mathis?  Does he even count?

With the season pretty much over, let’s start some draft talk y’all. Any prospects you’ve been intrigued by. Who are you’re can’t miss O-line prospects? Are Billy Price or Mason Cole immediate starters at the next level? What other needs besides O-line should be considered in round 1?

First you steal @MrCincinnati's GDT, and now you steal my posting about the draft halfway into a doomed season thread.  I see how it is...

I don't count him as a positive for PA.  Alexander didn't start him and then let him go.  He either couldn't develop Mathis' raw talent or couldn't recognize the talent/skill that was already there.  I chalk us even getting him at all as a lucky guess by Alexander.  He probably wanted some scrub that flamed out of the NFL but went 5 picks ahead of Mathis and "settled" for Mathis.

I'd take that, especially the first three rounds.

There weren’t any good ones available. Ragnow is actually pretty good

He has to be gone after this dumpster fire of an offensive line.  Don't care how much Brown likes the guy, it's a disaster and has his name all over it.

Isn't that Price in the second??  Looks like he drafted 3 centers, which checks out.

Price says hello.  Plus ragnow is really good too.  Both have played guard and center.
