TRADE
Round: 1, Pick 8
Derek Stingley Jr, CB | LSU
TRADE
Round: 1, Pick 26
Kenyon Green, IOL | Texas A&M

- If we can obtain Stingley Jr for fair value, I can’t see us not moving up with the Falcons. Generational corner, we’ve attacked the corner spot aggressively over the years but have always come up short. Stingley may be coming off a down year, but he’s shown he can be a generational CB prospect when last healthy and dialed in. Trading a 2022 3rd and swapping a 2023 3rd for a 4th would allow the Falcons to acquire assets to improve as well.
- Kenyon Green is IMO the perfect fit for this offense. I think he’s a future PB OG and will transition quickly to the pro game. Beyond that his versatility to play LT in a pinch should allow Mekari to legitimately slide inside to center and focus on specializing his craft, and then also Green’s versatility would allow him to backup Stanley in the event that he’s done. Green would very much also compliment Mekari and Stanley’s more finesse run blocking ability by virtue of adding more power at the POA to aid them in double team blocks. The future 2nd isn’t something EDC would ever want to give up again, but Lamar’s protection needs to be upgraded and if we’re willing to trade a future 2nd to acquire Lamar, than trading a future 2nd (and getting some picks back) should be what it takes to get Lamar’s interior pass protector for the next decade.

Big time agree about Green. I hate how poor his testing was, but you don't see those issues translate on film. Going into this season people were talking about Green like he was the next best since Quenton Nelson, now he's dropping into that Late 1st/Early 2nd Round territory. Which sucks because it most likely means he'll go to some playoff team, maybe even one of our rivals, and give them a plus IOL for the next 8-10 years. We have needs all across the line and he has strong game reps at every spot but center(Didn't play it in college but did say teams were having him snap the ball in workouts). Kid is a Day 1 starter and massive system fit. Getting him and a Top 10 talent at CB would be unbelievable.

Round: 3, Pick 88
Josh Paschal, Edge | Kentucky
TRADE
Round: 3, Pick 91
Trey McBride, TE | Colorado State
- The goal is building a strong 2022 unit and to do so adding an edge talent will be crucial. However at this point in the draft, most of the edge talents are guys that are projects, Paschal isn’t that guy. He’s got a VERY NFL ready skill set defending against the run and would be a perfect roll player option that can be a Courtney Upshaw type option and he’s noted as being a culture builder, he should be someone that thrives situationally as well as on special teams.

Paschal is one of those guys you just know the Ravens' FO loves, might even be a red star for them. Has the testing behind him too. Sub 1.6 10YS and 37.5 Vert at 270 pounds.

Using the mock draft simulator that db posted earlier, this is what I got

Screenshot-2022-04-10-184127.png

Heavily lent into BPA (or at least BPA at a position of some need) for the first 3 rounds, and then kinda flipped and went hunting for decent value at CB and EDGE in the 4th 😅

We would need to find a slot CB and a DT elsewhere if the draft went this way irl imo

What do we do if Charles Cross does fall to us(despite being -500 to go in the Top 10), and Ronnie Stanley is completely healthy back to his old dominant self?

Morgan Moses isn't a guard and neither is Charles Cross. Add in Harbs' tendency to sit Rookie lineman, and a bit of a problem presents itself. As we found out last season tackle depth is endlessly important. Potentially sitting a a Top 15 pick for a year is a rough sell though.

Trade back, draft Kenyon Green- who can play LG and LT- profit.😎

Probably should have gone with Neil Farrell Jr over Goedeke at pick 119, but otherwise not sure this draft could have gone too much better

Well, you didn't have any OL yet and Goedeke is a really good run blocker. So don't beat yourself up.

Great haul. Getting the consensus CB1 and top EDGE of that 2nd tier of pass rushers is awesome.

Only one I'm not familiar with is Christopher Allen. Need to check him out.
