49erurtaza
It's the slow period between free agency and the draft. Thought we can talk about what Trey realistically might produce this season. Here are Jimmy's stats for 2021 for a base reference. *jimmy did miss 2.5 games last season. Year Team YDS TD INT Rating 2021 SF 3,810 20 12 98.7 I think Lance can produce similar numbers as Jimmy but with 500 yards and 6-8 TDs rushing. last question what type of production do the 49ers need out of Trey to make the playoffs/make a run? Edited April 5, 2022 by 49erurtaza Went from 450 yards rushing to 500.
JIllg
Lance: 306/510 4080yds, 24 tds, 12 ints 119 carries, 833 yards, 8tds rushing With a full year of health. Lower completion % hovering around 60%. Still among the league leaders in ypa because Shanahan and it fits his priors, slightly less int% than Jimmy, if not fewer in number due to more snaps. Fumbles less and takes significantly fewer sacks than the G man. Overall, the offense is a bit more stuttery - Jimmy's high completion percentage resulted in very few unproductive 3 and 6 and out drives, but it hits more explosive plays and scores tds at a higher rate, making up for fewer scoring drives overall.
NcFinest9erFan
I am going to use the Houston game as a baseline since is probably the only game where he is "healthy" I'll say 4000 Pass Yards 30 TDs, 10INTs 500 Rush Yards and 5 TDs.
9erFreak77
4125 pass yards 28 TDs 18 ints 550 rush yards 6 TDs Lance will have some growing pains hence the 18 Ints, but i hope Shanny sets him up where those mistakes won’t be made. If Lance produces these numbers we will win the NFC West.
rudyZ
I think Kyle will want to use the running game as much as he can to take the pressure off of Trey's shoulders. So, I expect several 150-200 passing yard games. Then he'll probably get to feast on a bad team or two, and the need to move the ball in the fourth quarter, playing from behind, will give him a few 300 yard games, perhaps. But I think Kyle will use the threat of his legs to prop up the running game, and that will be the main focus of the offense. Honestly, I think sub-4000 yard season, with 25ish TD throws, and 10ish running TD.
gridirongorilla
Pass TDs: 19 INTs: 11 Pass Yards: 3100 Rush Yards: 425 Rush TDs: 3 I think Trey Lance will have a lot growing pains early on w/ 1-2 really bad games (2+ INTs) but will start to ascend toward the last third of the season as he gains experience. I see the team one and done or barely missing the playoffs if they can't get the wild card. Barring injury, I think the Rams run away with the division next year. But, there's always surprises. Lol I’m guessing his numbers are going to be similar to Jimmy’s, exception being I except lance to have 400-500 yards rushing and a dociole TDs..

Agree I think Lance's numbers will be around what Jimmy did this past season. I will be happy with that plus his rushing upside which is hard to calculate exactly what it will be. I think some of these predictions are a bit more pessimistic if anything.
