Curious Case of AJ Brown

When a topic starts to dominate a thread, I think it's fitting that it gets it's own thread.

I was on Team NEVER trading AJ Brown up until this morning.

There are starting to have some holes in my foundation.
Reasons:
1. Injuries- Robinson has shown that if a player has had injury issues, he is hesitant to give them money. ( Adoree, Conklin, Corey)
2. Money-I have no doubt we can pay him, but does AJ want to be the highest paid WR? If so, going back to #1. I think Robinson has a problem paying someone that money that has an availability issue.
3. Long Term outlook- This still goes back to #1. Are there rumors of a degenerative knee issue? I feel like so much is being tossed around.
4. This offseason.  If Devante Adams can be traded, AJ Brown can be traded.

Would you swap AJ Brown for Treylon Burks and Chris Olave?

I’m not volunteering to do it, but I’d love to see the overall list of draft capital and free agent dollars spent in between Derrick Mason and AJ Brown.

If you think we’re going to go through a QB change and a quick reload, you keep your 24-year-old WR1 with a top five ceiling to ease the transition. If you believe we’re still chasing a title, you can’t lose your one dynamic playmaker.

I long ago realized that there’s nothing that can completely chase me away from this franchise, but trading AJ would do some irreparable harm to my feelings about this organization.

Nope.

The same way I felt about the Harold Landry contract situation is the same way I feel about AJ.  We spent years searching for edge/WR help, we finally have a highly productive homegrown talent who’s not even in their prime and you decide to let him leave/trade him?

It would have to take a unbelievable offer (beginning with at least two 1st) for me to even begin to entertain trade talks.

AJ brown is already the most talented WR in titans history, a legitimate game-changer who we are incredibly lucky to have after years and years and years of impotence at the position. trading him would be idiotic beyond words.

He’s not more talented than Randy moss, Andre Johnson, Eric Moulds, & Julio 🥴

I try to prepare for every situation. So i can emotionally deal. lol

I am not in favor of trading AJ at all. I try to see why they would and it starts to make sense why they could entertain it. But I also see over a decade of failed picks at WR as reason why you don't dare entertain trading him.

Can't wait to see the alert to say he was signed to an extension.
