TheVillain112
Disagree with the clearly past his prime comments. He's only 29 years old, and he mentioned that the lingering groin issue was hurting his performance. Might just be an excuse, but I wouldn't be surprised if a fully healthy Davis shows up next season and plays great...
AFlaccoSeagulls
Change of scenery I bet will help him more than anything. That entire Colts team seems to be toxic in the way they're handling things (just as an outsiders prospective).
bananabucket
He was bad last year and bad this year. Plus he can't stay healthy. We weren't going to resign him this offseason anyway.

Sign him to a two year vet minimum deal and IR him this season, let him get a hold of film and the playbook, then let him loose next season... steelcurtain29
Past his prime for sure, but he's definitely an upgrade for almost anyone in this league. I bet he signs cheap with a contender real quick.

But realistically any new team would have to cough up approx $4.52 million. Knowing that he is having season ending surgery means no one is going to claim him and he probably wouldn’t pass a physical anyways.

Forge
Quote Even though Vontae Davis will undergo groin surgery that it is expected to sideline him six to eight weeks, a handful of teams, including two involved in the playoff chase, already have reached out and expressed interest in signing the former Indianapolis Colts cornerback with the hope he can contribute in the playoffs, a source told ESPN.
