FalconFan13
Instead of 2 QB's back to back how about we get rid of both of them and take other positions all together for the 1st 2 picks I'll take any of the next 4 picks taken after 8 for us at 8 in Hamilton, Johnson, Walker, or Stingley As for the 2nd round i'll take Ojabo, Jones, or Bonitto. Rest of it is ok though Metchie, Bell, and Spiller are very solid picks for us overall. Johnson, Ojabo, Metchie, Spiller, Bryant, and Bell looks like a dang good draft to me

Torn Achilles Ojabo in the high second? Go home. You're drunk. But lemme see what I can do. Also, why don't you want a quarterback? It's kind of early to declare a tank job and cleaning house, which could happen if the team does nothing but trot out Mariota; it looks too obvious. Even if it's a tank, drafting a QB (not over-drafting, as Ridder is very reasonably worth a second round pick) somewhat high would seem prudent for the Falcons. *Updated* Also, lol...I went to see where Ridder has been getting drafted lately in mocks and this was the first hit. Should I...update again to reflect? 😈 Edited April 7, 2022 by NudeTayne

MikeT14
I'd walk away happy enough with those 3 picks for Washington.
THE DUKE
Pretty dreadful Bengals draft. Don't see Winfrey worth taking with their first pick without a trade back. Pitre pick is probably the best of the 4, but even then there are several players i'd prefer and fit better in the next 15-20 picks. I don't see the Bengals in on Otton, he's a little lighter than they prefer and no testing numbers. Zach Tom is an ok pick. Given the board at each pick, I would have gone: One of Dean, McBride, Kenyon Green, McCreary, or most likely trade back. Tough luck with Elam going one pick earlier, rough board for the Bengals there which would heavily lean towards trade back. WIth a trade back Kyler Gordon, Tariq Woolen, Chad Muma, or Sam Williams might be in play as well. Logan Hall or Nik Bonitto. Pitre still an option Cole Strange, Zyon McCollumn, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Nick Cross, Alontae Taylor, Jerome Ford, or Dylan Parham Zach Tom, Sterling Weatherford, Tyquan Thornton So making a call, no trade backs, i'd say Kenyon Green Logan Hall Zyon McCollumn Tyquan Thornton

It all comes down to just not forcing it. If they strongly like one of the QBs and he's available, take him. If not, wait until next year and see what happens. They've been in a lot of work looking at QBs - Willis, Ridder, Corral, and Pickett. It could all be smokescreen, but I think there's a high probability a QB will be taken. And with all their extra picks, I could see them trading back up into the first round to grab one. I'm bias too, so I'd be perfectly fine with rolling with Mariota this year and stocking up the fridge at other positions. I'm just not going to fault anyone for mocking a QB to the Falcons. Plus im thinking long term here as we won't be doing anything this year and can let him heal up this season and will then have a guy who was considered by most a top 10 edge rusher until his injury a month or 2 ago. Getting 2 top 10 edge talents in the same draft could do alot for us starting next year. As for QB the 3 main reasons i don't want one this year is 1. I think Mariotta has as much upside still and talent as any of them coming out this year and want to give him a legit chance if he can stay healthy. 2. I don't like this class very much and only have 2 QB's worthy of a 2nd round pick i have them both late 1st to early 2nd in Willis and Corral. 3. I would rather take a QB next year if Mariotta fails and start that rookie contract a year later to give us the biggest window on a cheap contract to put a legit contender around him before we have to pay him big money if he does well. Zach Tom is an ok pick. Otten is give or take pretty much the same size as Uzomah. He's 6'5 250. I think you're reaching. Also, McCreary tested and it wasn't good, but you still want him (?). I think you're too low on Winfrey and too high on some of the others. Quote Logan Hall or Nik Bonitto. Pitre still an option These three were all in contention. Pitre seemed the best marriage of bpa and need. Getting 2 top 10 edge talents in the same draft could do alot for us starting next year. TIL 17 picks is the same as 10 picks. Tbh I think Ojabo will be over-drafted because of his position. I think this Achilles injury completely derails house highest potential, as he is somewhat one-dimensional (speed rush) right now and that it'll be two full years before he's back to where he should be. And at that point will he lose speed? Who knows? I wouldn't touch him until later third or fourth but figure someone will. 13 minutes ago, FalconFan13 said: As for QB the 3 main reasons i don't want one this year is 1. I just don't think anyone really agrees with you on this so don't know where to go with it. If they trot out Mariota, it's a tank. And why would he stay healthy? Follow-up: even if he stayed healthy this year, would he next year? If he stayed healthy this year, how many wins would that really equal? 7 or 8 at best? Then what? 13 minutes ago, FalconFan13 said: 2. I don't like this class very much and only have 2 QB's worthy of a 2nd round pick i have them both late 1st to early 2nd in Willis and Corral. 3. Again, you're about the only one who thinks he won't fail. You have to get a quarterback at some point and that point looks like now. I understand there is the sentiment that is a weak draft class, but this is what GMs are paid to do, find the one they think the team can win with and develop. You don't like him, but many have Ridder as a first rounder. Pick 43 is a reasonable enough hedge that it doesn't marry them to him if he doesn't work. TL;DR Desmond Ridder has a brighter future than Achilles Ojabo.

CWood21
Quote 22.) Green Bay Packers (from Las Vegas) - Trent McDuffie [CB; Washington] Barring either Derek Stingley or Sauce Gardner falling down the draft board, I think there's a ZERO percent chance the Packers take a CB on Day 1. The Packers still have Jaire Alexander and drafted Eric Stokes in the first round last year AND re-signed Rasul Douglas to a 3 year deal. CB is a Day 2 pick at the earliest, and it'd be more of the third safety role rather than a true slot corner. Given how badly the board has fallen, Treylon Burks [WR; Arkansas] or George Pickens [WR; Georgia] are much, much better picks here. Quote 28.) Green Bay Packers - Christian Watson [WR; North Dakota State] Assuming the Packers went WR at 22, they probably won't take another WR in the first round. Travis Jones [DT; UConn] or Boye Mafe [EDGE; Minnesota] would likely be the pick here. Quote 53.) Green Bay Packers - Chad Muma [LB; Wyoming] I don't hate Muma, but it's probably a bit too early for an off-ball LB given they re-signed De'Vondre Campbell and they still think highly of Krys Barnes. John Metchie [WR; Alabama], Jalen Pitre [DB; Baylor], David Ojabo [EDGE; Michigan] or Logan Hall [DL; Houston] make a LOT more sense here. Quote 59.) Green Bay Packers - Bernhard Raimann [OT; Central Michigan] Packers usually avoid older prospects, but I don't hate the value here. Could go with any of the players left on the board that were under consideration for 53. Quote 92.) Green Bay Packers - Martin Ruckert [TE; Ohio State] Probably the first good pick made. The board is pretty damn brutal, which is what it is but then compounding it by making bad picks isn't the solution. I think given the way the board shook out, the Packers would/should take: 1.23 - WR Treylon Burks/George Pickens 1.28 - DT Travis Jones 2.53 - DB Jalen Pitre 2.59 - EDGE David Ojabo 3.92 - TE Martin Rucker
