Love this!!!!!

I've done enough posts on Calais at this point, but there really isn't enough praise you can pour on him- On the field or off the field. One of those guys that comes here and you just wish he had been a Raven from the jump. Easily in that Steve Smith, Derrick Mason, Brandon Carr tier.

Essentially a guarantee that he retires a Raven now too.

Will also feel a lot better about us taking swings at DI & EDGE with his mentorship and leadership back in house. I'd even feel more secure about taking a guy like Jordan Davis because Calais will be around to tutor him unicorn to unicorn. Our other young guys like Odafe, Daelin, and Buike will continue to benefit as well.

NGL I would've been upset had he signed elsewhere. Even though we nabbed arguably the biggest prize of FA in Marcus Williams, the stupid ZDS situation put a dark cloud over everything.... When it shouldn't have. A HoF player like Calais, who still brings enormous value to any team, choosing to retire with and believe in this club is huge- the sunshine we needed.

Let's get this man a ring already.

Campbell brings leadership as well as filling a need on the D-Line.  We all know just how good he is on the field but the is real value added in a guy like this.  Justin Madubuike broke out last year working with Campbell.  The Ravens are going to add some defensive linemen in this draft and Calais Campbell will be a real asset in their development.
