EirePacker
Instead of finishing off my Entrereneurship assignment i decided to procrastinate and jump on TDN. Let me know what you guys think. DRAFT 22.) Traded to KC for 29 & 94 Olave, Burks and Zion Johnson were the top players available but i couldnt pull the trigger, so i accepted KC's trade offer who then took Olave. 28.) Daxton Hill, Safety, Michigan. RAS: 9.03 Hill slots in as the 3rd safety and starting nickel back before taking over for savage a year later. 29.) George Pickens, Wide Reciever, Georgia. RAS: 9.33 I debated Burks here but Pickens has the best hands in the draft and would be long gone if not for missing the majority of last season. Pickens is a precise route runner and he should see targets early and often. 53.) Drake Jackson, Edge, USC. RAS: 8.59 Jackson is a crafty and productive pass rusher, he was misused and asked to lose weight at USC last year and if not probably wouldnt be available here. He needs work defending the run but he should slot in as edge #3 immedietly. 59.) Tyler Smith, Ofensive Tackle, Tulsa. RAS: 8.77 Smith is a road grader in the run game, he may have to move inside but he tested better than expected and measured in with 34 inch arms. 92.) Channing Tindall, Linebacker, Georgia. RAS: 9.32 I was stuck on this pick for awhile, i debated doubling down at edge but Tindalls athleticism won me over. He could do with adding 5-10 pounds but he should compete with barnes for ilb #2 and be a ST demon early on. 94.) Zachary Carter, IDL,Florida. RAS: 8.03 Carter needs to improve his anchor and gain strength but he has an impressive 1st step, and active hands. Rotational piece this year before steping in for Lowry. 132.) Zach Tom, IOL, Wake Forrest. RAS: 10 Tom just screams 4th round packers lineman, he needs to gain weight/strength but he has the versatility to play all over the line. 140.) Erik Ezukanma, Wide Reciever, Texas Tech. RAS: - One of my draft crushes, i see him as a better valued treylon burks. 171.) Daniel Bellinger, Tight End, San Diego State. RAS: 9.48 Physical blocker who hasnt gotten much of an oppertunity in the passing game. Measures earily similar to Travis Kelce, if he ends up half the player it would be a great pick. 228.) Jalyn Armour Davis, Cornerback, Alabama.RAS: 9.42 ST pick, flew under the radar at alabama but solid fundementals and has good athleticism. 249.) Eric Johnson, IDL, Missouri State. RAS: 9.15 Has already had a visit with the packers, + run defender with suprising athleticism. 258.) James Houstan, Edge Jackson State. RAS: - I really dont know much about him but he had 20 tfl and 14.5 sacks last season for jackson state and ran a 4.7 with a 39 inch vert at his pro day, worth a flyer. This gets the roster to 68/90 but im not going to add any UDFA or FA signings but id definetly be looking at the Vet Offensive Tackle market to get some experience at RT until Jenkins comes back. DEPTH CHART QB: Rodgers, Love, Benkert, Etling RB: Jones, Dillon, Hill, Patrick HB: Degura, Dafney WR: Lazzard, Cobb, Pickens, Ezukanma, J Winfree, M Taylor, C Blair, R Gafford TE: Tonyan, Lewis, T Davis, D Bellinger, A Mack OT: Bak, Nijman, T Smith IOL: Jenkins, Runyan, Newman, Myers, CVL, Z Tom, M Menet, J Hanson EDGE: Smith, Gary, Garvin, D Jackson, J Houstan, T Galei, R Ramsey, L Hamilton IDL: Clark, Reed, Lowry, Slatton, Z Carter, E Johnson, J Heflin LB: Cambell, Barnes, C Tindall, I Mcduffie, T Summers, R Wilborn CB: Alexander, Stokes, Douglas, SJC, JA Davis, K Thomas, K Nixon, K Ento S: Amos, Savage, D Hill, V Scott, S Davis, I Gainnes K: Crosby P: O Donnell LS: Wirtel Edited April 11, 2022 by EirePacker
packfanfb
I'm an Olave fanboy so passing on him would be difficult for me to accept, but otherwise, I could live with this draft. I don't think it will happen, but I'd be real happy to land Tyler Smith at 59. That's the biggest value pick here.
ThatJerkDave
I must take umbrage with you listing a Missouri State player as a Missouri player. Definitely not the same. 3 hours ago, EirePacker said: This gets the roster to 68/90 but im not going to add any UDFA or FA signings but id definetly be looking at the Vet Offensive Tackle market to get some experience at RT until Jenkins comes back. OT: Bak, Nijman, T Smith IOL: Jenkins, Runyan, Newman, Myers, CVL, Z Tom, M Menet, J Hanson With that draft, I am comfortable with the offensive line. Smith, Newman, Runyan, Tom, and CVL had all played tackle in college. That is if Jenkins isn't ready and Nijman isn't up to the task. I think it rounds out the depth pretty well. Being frim Ireland, i dont really no of anyone else who watches cfb & the nfl religously. I check in here every hour for a read though, and basically all my tendencies and biases (positional value) have been adopted over the years from this sub forum 🤷♂️😂.

Les Punting
Lots to like. Trading out of 22 and/or 28 for the extra 3rd(s) is fine with me, there won't be elite players at that point. It's funny, I've had both Pickens and Ezukanma parked right where you took them, 1st and 4th, in all of my mock versions since early in the process. Have had the same thoughts with the Ezukanma as Burks-lite comparison. Bit lighter, bit less physical but same speed, comparable ball skills, more sudden and looks like a smoother route runner. He's good. You'll have shiny new WR1 / WR2 in no time. On the OL, I have doubts about Smith at OT. Doesn't have the feet, or the hands really. Tons of holding which should be hands inside punching. Rushers with proper speed and power (e.g. Gary) would beat him to the edge regularly. He could be really good inside, but a premium pick seems high for an OG-only who's also something of a projection there. Tell you what, let me swap in the more polished T/G Sean Rhyan instead. I suspect has true T/G flexibility and also projects better as an OG. He'll make your draft unstoppable.
BrettFavre004
Id love this. id maybe prefer to move up in the 2nd or 3rd with all those picks to get another higher end WR prospect than. But all those other guys have already been mocked a dozen times, so I get it. But Hill and Pickens and an extra 3rd coming out of Thursday would have me grinning. jleisher
I could live with it. Thanks!
pgwingman
I'm ok with the mock, so please feel free to count my comment as nitpicking -I'm a little lukewarm on the trade down from 22. Ideally, I'd like us to either trade up into the top 20 and get someone who's falling, or trade it for a future first round pick (but I wouldn't want KC's 2023 first round pick either) -I really like the Daxton Hill pick, but I see him replacing Amos, not Savage, in 2023 -I really like Tyler Smith as a young pick (he's 21) with upside to replace Bakh in 2023 or 2024 -I'd like to see the TE group bolstered a little bit, but I'm not sure what pick I'd use for that. Either way, banger of mock.

Given how up in the air our current TE room is, I'd be in favor of adding to it a little sooner. But I'd also agree with anyone who says i'm nitpicking. To Eire's credit, Bellinger is only 21 and highly athletic, which meets my preferences for a pick like that.

Kirwan (love him) and Miller were on talking a Packer fan off of the proverbial cliff. Kirwan thought that there were 7 TE's in this draft that could come in and play right away in GB and produce 400-500 yards in the passing game. The kicker? He said you didn't have to draft them high at all. He mentioned the Virginia kid, the UCLA kid and even the UW kid as names that could step in right away and contribute.
OneTwoSixFive
Lots of names I recognise here outside the first couple of rounds (which we all know), like Tindall, Ezukanma, Tom, Bellinger. In fact Zachary Carter was the only non-7th round pick where I went "Who Dat ?" Is that because I like a lot of your choices, or that as we get closer to the draft, I'm recognising a lot more names. I'll have to self-scout to find out which is true. Nice haul though.
