Karnage84
We've been mocked an edge player, either Hutchinson, Thibodeaux or Walker, at #2 in most recent drafts. We don't often look at the prospects who would be available at 32 in what seems to be a deep class. Who are you favourite guys who should be there at 32 (or 34)? Do you feel there's a big drop off from our main guys (Hutch, Thibs, Walker) and this group? PFN Simulator has: Arnold Ebiketie, Penn State Devonte Wyatt, Georgia David Ojabo, Michigan (Injured) Boye Mafe, Minnesota Drake Jackson, USC DeMarvin Leal Cameron Thomas, San Diego State Myjai Sanders, Cincinnati Kingsley Enagbare Logan Hall, Houston Nik Bonitto, Oklahoma Sam Williams, Ole Miss Edited April 12, 2022 by Karnage84
Sllim Pickens
Ebiketie is my favorite there. Then Bonito, Mafe, Jackson. Ojabo should be in the mix there too but I still am leery on torn Achilles. Lael and Hall seemed like better fits to play DE in a 3-4.
Whistle Britches
Wyatt Jackson Hall
LionArkie
Wyatt, Jackson, Mafe Bonnito and Williams I would like to investigate more.

You're missing Jermaine Johnson at EDGE and Perrion Winfrey since you want to include DTs.

I like Winfrey at DT but he wasn't listed as he isn't an edge player. I think he didn't include Johnson because he is focusing later in the draft, but I could be wrong. Hall, Wyatt and Leal are guys that can be lined up at 3-4 DE while I view Winfrey as a 3T.

Some guys are going to go mid-to-late first that have been projected as "top ten" on this board. Hell, Leal was considered a top ten guy until the combine when people started pumping up all the Georgia guys.
BigC421/
Jackson, Ojabo and Ebiketie would all be good picks in those spots. If we’re including interior guys I’m big on Travis Jones would love him there. Edited April 17, 2022 by BigC421/
NudeTayne
I am not touching Ojabo until at least late 2nd and that depends on how the position group has thinned out or not at that point. An Achilles to a speed rusher... ☠️.
LionArkie
I do believe it was a tear and not a rupture. It shouldn’t effect him as bad. Edited April 17, 2022 by LionArkie

Karnage84
I just wanted to take a look at how some different combinations could work out if the Lions took an Edge at #2 or #32. These are the prospect gradings from NFL.com and TDN (The Draft Network). PROSPECTS AT #2 - Aidan Hutchinson - NFL.com = 6.80; TDN = 91.83 - Kayvon Thibodeaux - NFL.com = 6.72; TDN = 90.75 - Travon Walker - NFL.com = 6.48; TND = 86.42 - Sauce Gardner - NFL.com = 6.72; TDN = 86.67 - Jermaine Johnson - NFL.com = 6.49; TDN = 87.67 - Evan Neal - NFL.com = 6.76; TDN = 90.67 - Ickey Ekwonu - NFL.com = 6.73; TDN = 91.00 - Kyle Hamilton - NFL.com = 6.81; TDN = 92.92 PROSPECTS AT #32 - George Karalaftis - NFL.com = 6.40; TDN = 84.33 - Boye Mafe - NFL.com = 6.35; TDN = 82.17 - David Ojabo - NFL.com = 6.39; TDN = 84.83 - Arnold Ebiketie - NFL.com = 6.34; TDN = 80.67 - Nakobe Dean - NFL.com = 6.40; TDN = 84.92 - Jaquan Brisker - NFL.com = 6.38; TDN = 84.08 - Lewis Cine - NFL.com = 6.26; TDN = 82.83 COMBINATIONS Hutchinson + Dean = 13.20 Hutchinson + Brisker = 13.18 Hutchinson + Cine = 13.06 Kayvon + Dean = 13.12 Kayvon + Brisker = 13.10 Kayvon + Cine = 12.98 Sauce + Karalaftis = 13.12 Sauce + Ojabo = 13.11 Sauce + Mafe = 13.07 Sauce + Ebiketie = 13.06 I'm warming up to the idea of taking Sauce (either at #2 or in a trade down within the top 10 - he won't go past the Vikings at #12 and the Giants could be a trade down partner for a team wanting to grab him at #7) and then pairing him with an Edge guy at 32 or 34. LionArkie
Interesting article on some of the prospects. The sack pressure bit is at the bottom: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/walkthrough/2022/aidan-hutchinson-and-travon-walker-pressure-principles
