A vote could come as soon as the winter meetings, said Irsay, who said owners must receive a thorough and detailed status report.

"That's not what we stand for in the National Football League. I think owners have been painted incorrectly a lot of times by various people and various situations. That's not what we're about."

A Commanders spokesperson called Irsay's comments "inappropriate" and said results of current investigations will cause Irsay to see Snyder in a better light.

"It is highly inappropriate, but not surprising, that Mr. Irsay opted to make statements publicly based on falsehoods in the media," the Commanders spokesperson said in a statement. "It is unfortunate that Mr. Irsay decided to go public with his statement today, while an investigation is in process, and the team has had no opportunity to formally respond to allegations. The Commanders have made remarkable progress over the past two years. We are confident that, when he has an opportunity to see the actual evidence in this case, Mr. Irsay will conclude that there is no reason for the Snyders to consider selling the franchise. And they won't."

Irsay said Snyder's issues have a "long, long history," and the allegations of workplace misconduct span more than a decade. In July, Snyder begun testifying before a congressional committee investigating the team's history. The hearing was not made public.

White's investigations into the workplace and financial allegations are ongoing. Irsay said league owners should be "updated a lot more thoroughly and clearly."

While Irsay wasn't sure about whether Snyder could be persuaded to sell the team, he said owners have "complete authority" to remove him from his seat.

Commissioner Roger Goodell is set to address the media at the conclusion of Tuesday's meetings.

"This was put before us and we have to act," Irsay said. "To protect and be an example from what we want to be about."

Do you know who we are talking about? The man - self proclaims, that he has zero shame. He is going to burn this thing to the ground.

Well then force him out by vote then.  Whatever it takes to make him gone.  If we have to wait till winter meetings then fine, this season is lost anyways.

If Irsay publicly said this after what Al Michaels said then these things are being said on purpose. They’d prefer him to sell but he’s getting voted out. This thing is over with. He can take them to court but it’s done. Irsay never says this without it being discussed amongst the other owners and without their blessing. This was calculated.

Exactly.  One of the owners isn't going to go rogue and do this.  Its obvious it was planned and represents the thoughts of most of the owners. Only downside to Dan getting voted out vs just leaving is that it'll drag it out but I can wait.

So who’s ready for the Jeff bezos era?

and who here thinks the positive and negatives of him being the owner?.

Positives would be a likely new stadium, possible rebranding and likely full rebuild with a new FO and coaching staff.

Possible negatives could be his ego leads him into meddling in football decisions. Also most new owners go through a learning curve when they enter the league so I think it’s unlikely the first GM and coaching staff he hires will be successful.  No downside is as bad as continues ownership by Snyder though.

Irsay definitely going to have a picture leaked of him hammered at a strip club

Irsay probably has pictures of himself already hung up at strip clubs all across the United States. He’s a party animal. He couldn’t care less.

I think Snyder’s “I have dirt on the other owners” threat was a huge misfire.  These billionaires have egos that won’t tolerate getting threatened by some loser like Snyder.

And of course the Snyder’s already had a rebuttal. “We won’t sell” is just astounding to me. What more can you gain from this? You’re going to make a $6B profit. You don’t have the money to sign players or fund a stadium. You’re toxic and all of the fans and other owners hate you. You’ve literally destroyed one of the leagues storied franchises. Take your money and go spend the rest of your life on your yacht with your family. MOVE ON. Let the fans have this team back.

He also claimed he’d never change the name 😁
