Louis Friend
Per twitter. He was brought in for a visit today and they got a deal done. His 2021 season ended after week 6 when he tore his pec and bicep.
Typical_Lions
If he can stay healthy, and staying healthy is a tall order for Elliot, this could be a massive pickup for the Lions.
Karnage84
I feel like this could push us from drafting a safety at #32/34 and maybe wait until 66 or 97. At the very least it'll give us flexibility in decision making. If Elliott is healthy (big question) he's a lock to start. I don't think we can sit on Walker/Elliott but we do have Harris still on the roster that can chip in on a pinch/depth role.

This is a one year deal for a guy who hasn't been healthy for a full season ever. Its depth, and its cheap. This will not impact our drafting at all IMO. I am pretty sure if a S is at the top of our board at 32 or 34, we will definitely grab them.

To me, his a third safety who will be on a pitch-count to keep him healthy. If we have a shot at a long-term solution at 32 or 34 we should take it. Less than half of all games. He's good gamble for depth, but he's not altering draft plans.
