MagicMT
I'm always a fan of having the opinions of my fellow posters about the different prospects for the upcoming draft and what they see in a player that I might not see for myself. I thought two weeks before the draft would be an opportune moment for such a topic. Can you sell me these players? Charles Cross - although I think he's still a good prospect (late teens to late twenties in the 1st round) I don't see what makes him a top 10 pick. Not too sure about his run blocking + average to below average testing results. Is it the fact that he's very young and people are banking on improvements? Drake London - Not seeing the WR1 of the class. Still is a good prospect for me (mid-2nd rounder) but I feel like a lot of his strengths in college won't necessarily translate in the pros. I know there is such a thing as vertical separation and London is great at it with his length and long arms but he isn't that great at running routes and might be limited in that aspect. Like he's a good WR but what makes him a better wideout than Williams/Wilson/Olave/Burks ? Edited April 16, 2022 by MagicMT
Techbert
London is a different beast from the other receivers you named, so there is no intrinsic "better" involved. He can do some things the other receivers cannot do as well, but lacks some of their qualities. I see him as more than a red zone specialist, but his plus ability in the red zone is enough for him to be worth a relatively high pick. He can make a good receiver room very dangerous. So it depends on what the rest of the team looks like. I think Williams is a better choice for a majority of teams, but not all.
