He was okay his rookie season, right?

He is also another number 80s receiver to lose his job. For shame.

This is probably a contrarian view but playing with Lamar probably doesn't help, right? Not suggesting he's going to become Randy Moss but I just don't love Lamar the passer and he probably doesn't help some WR's.

I'd be open to adding Boykin to the Lions and see if he can develop better. There could be some meat left on the bone here.

The "blame Lamar" defenders of Miles Boykin's case fell apart this year when Sammy Watkins, Rashod Bateman, and even James Proche and Devin Duvernay were able to be productive and make an impact when used as a tertiary receiver (behind Andrews and Hollywood).

After being excited about the traits early on, I hated his game before most Ravens' fans. To my eye, his biggest issue is that he is a lazy or unskilled route runner who doesn't work hard enough to get open before the ball is thrown.

Seems like a weird time to cut him.

Probably trying to see if they could sucker a team into trading for him.

Yeah he runs the wrong routes all the time and doesn't fight for 50/50 balls despite his incredible size.

I'm guessing Pittsburgh sees that frame and think they can turn him into something Baltimore didn't, but yeah good luck with that.

They have nothing behind Johnson and Claypool.
