Rams beat down Texans

Watched the Skins/Vikings game earlier.  DJ Swearinger single handedly kept them in the game with two massive picks.  Would love to know the story with that guy as he was an absolute trainwreck for us and then Tampa.  Terrible attitude, zero awareness, abysmal in coverage, refused to play special teams, off-field problems (stealing, pitbulls).  Could always hit, but usually late and to the helmet.  Dude gets a call off the couch when Honey Badger goes down and morphs into a completely different player and has been one of the best strong safeties in the game ever since.  Wondering if it was just a maturity thing, substance issues, or if he just found a coach to connect with him (Crennel and Phillips are both mellow & player friendly to a fault).  He was a rookie during the Ed Reed cancer season, so wondering if his bad influence had an effect or perhaps stepping into the shoes of another once troubled safety in Mattheu help wake him, up.  Really couldn't stand him as a Texan, but considering we haven't had a decent strong safety since we gave up on him, just gotta wonder if we could have done anything different or if he just had to be humbled to turn it around.

Yea he was out there balling today. Losing him and Quin really make me sad to think about. So many guys leave here and become better, our culture is just trash

Why on earth are we usin will fuller as an extra blocker?

Because Rick Smith continues to try to sabotage O'Brien with idiotic roster malpractice like carrying only 2 tight ends, 1 of which is TE in name only as Anderson is smaller than our punter (seriously).  I give him  a pass for week 1's 3 TE concussion-fest, but with concussion histories of Griffin and Fido and Anderson's limitation, and Giacamini/Lamm/Clark as tackles requiring help nearly every play, the need for a blocking TE has been acute. I could even kind of rationalize it with Watson's ability to buy time, but now that we're riding the Savage/Yates dink/dunk train, only having 2 TEs is suicide (sorry, probably a bad choice of words considering O'Briens main claim to fame was the Gronk/Hendandez season).  Fido is a hard hit away from Jordan Cameron retirement-level and Griffin is close.  15 DBs churned so far and we're still one of the only teams in the NFL with 2 TE's with several carrying 4.  But hey, we have Jay Prosch who doesn't even play in short yardage situations that have cost us two games. Fire Rick!
