Would have also had a two game lead on the Rams plus the tiebreaker. Would have been hard for the Rams to win the division if that was the case. Oh well, if we are to get to the SB, we will have to go on the road to get there. Almost did it last season and may be able to do it again this year. Agreed, we'd be in a much better place if we had been able to beat the Bears and Broncos, but we're not in a bad spot now. Watching that game against the Broncos last night was painful. Their defense is good, but that offense was horrendous. The Broncos almost feel like the AFC West verison of us. I'm hopeful our offense will improve with Jimmy getting settled in more though as the weeks go by. I think we'll be in the playoffs this year barring any big injuries. We will be getting some guys like Elijah Mitchell and TDP back at some point and that should go a long ways in getting our O moving hopefully. If we can get Trent and one of those backs before KC I think we'll be in good shape.

Hackett is really bad, and seems to almost intentionally be doing things the worst possible way. I just can't figure out how somebody could make those decisions over and over again. Nothing is worst than watching a bad coach. If your QB sucks, you have two more. If your DB's are bad, you might win some shootouts and have some fun, but if the coach is bad, there isn't anything anyone can do. It reminds me a little of Mike Nolan, but more of 07 and 09, where we had some downright horrible offensive play calling. Even in spite of the offense being useless those two years, at least it was only that side of the ball. The defense could still win a six pack of games each year without the HC getting in the way. This Bronco's team is far more talented than the fielded teams both of those years (most of the good players on the 09 team were on the bench at the time, lol). Yeah, the Broncos fans have been pretty pathetic all year long. Booing their own team is a bad look. I live in the Denver area currently and I do find it funny that the Broncos are in such disarray. adamq
If Daniel Jones gets the Trubisky treatment & has to be a backup next year, I hope it's with us. Richie James Jr and Matt Breida are his best weapons right now.. NY is a mess

I'm assuming that we are going to sign someone...I don't want to just hand a backup job to Purdy already. Daniel Jones would make a ton of sense for Shanny I think. More so than a guy like Baker who is struggling over the middle of the field. They may buy low on Darnold though. I do think that Shanny was interested in him last year and that was why Peter King thought he was going to get trade to SF.
Forge
No idea what to do with the Packers. This can't just be a receiver issue, right? Maybe they should trade for Jakobi or even Corey Davis. If the Jets will eat his base salary to facilitate a move, I don't know...send them a third and see if you can jolt the offense awake. But something is wrong.
Forge
I will say that with Daniel JOnes, he may show enough to actually get the Teddy B Denver treatment next year. Where given a real QB competition for a team that doesn't want to just sign a full fledged starter. Maybe DJ signs a backup level contract with starter level incentives for a team. Like, if Zach Wilson doesn't flash enough, is it fair in year 3 to put him in a real competition with Daniel Jones? Geno Smith against Daniel Jones? Carson Wentz? I'm not sure that Baker and Darnold are actually getting those options (Baker's previous play could merit that type of deal, but I have to wonder if his personal rep isn't just cooked around the league too)
Steve_DeBerg_Fan_420
I am not sure exactly what Mike McDaniels brought to the offense, but it was something, and that something is on the Dolphins now.

Yeah, but with guys like Tua and Bridgewater, I bet he had his 7th rounder ready to go. I hope our 7th rounder is ready too, because you never know. Its interesting their 7th rounder has the same strengths as Lance, and Purdy's strengths are similar to Tua. The Jets Dolphins game is kinda fun. It's like watching the 49ers offense vs the 49ers defense. I still root for guys after they leave when they are not playing the 49ers or in the division.
