If they trade him, the team acquiring him is actually getting hit with big money from jump without a restructure / pay cut, which could tank his value. Meanwhile his 2023 salary and a portion of 2024 guarantee in February, so they need to move on before that if they really don't have an interest in keeping him around. They have to decide quick And then Adams gets marooned with who the heck knows at QB. Maybe another veteran, or maybe a young quarterback. They won't be bad enough to pick a top prospect. Apparently Risner misheard Rypien and thought Rypien said "pick it up" in regards to blocking better instead of "pick him up" in regards to helping Wilson up after he goes down. Whether that's true or just some damage control by Risner, it's still a bad look for him, and the team overall. Credit to Wilson for going over to his OL afterwards to try and smooth the situation over. With all the **** he's taken he's never changed.
