Draft Day 1

I want Hutch or Thibs at #2 but my gut is telling me it's Thibs even if Hutch is sitting there.

For #32/34, I have a list of guys I'd be okay with.

Nakobe Dean, LB

Devin Lloyd, LB

Jaquan Brisker, S

Lewis Cine, S

Daxton Hill, S

Christian Watson, WR

Treylon Burks, WR

George Pickens, WR

Perrion Winfrey, DT

Devonte Wyatt, DT

Give me Thibs and two of these guys and I am elated.

I want a trade back and London/ Williams and Jermaine Johnson.

At 32 I want Cine.

34 Walker or Harris.

I think the pick will be Hitch or KT.

At 32 if he’s there I think they take Pickett.

34 a safety or LB.

Drake London is my draft crush. I've been pulling for him from day one. If there was any ANY way for the Lions to grab him, I would die happy.

At #2--They need a DE/Edge-Rusher in the worst way.  If Hutchinson goes #1, I am not sold on KT at #2.  Hutchinson should be the pick if he is there.  Plan B-Travon Walker.  Plan C (least likely)-trade down a few spots and get Jermaine Johnson.

At #32--Taking a QB here makes no sense because the Jags will not take a QB at #33 and probably wouldn't give up that draft position.  Safety or WR make the most sense at #32 unless the Lions get a good offer to trade back.  Safety prospects that I think will be available:  Lewis Sine, Jaquan Brisker, Jalen Pitre.  WR prospects that I think might be available:  Jahn Dotson, Christian Watson, Alec Pierce.  LB might be in play but there will be solid LB prospects in Round 3.

I’ve wanted London since day 1 as well. I also really like Metchie later.

If London falls past 10 they could certainly pair up 32 34 and something else to go get him.

Rumor is the Texans are interested in trading pick #13. I hope Holmes does an inquiry.

I also like Metchie. I'd love him in the 3rd.

Round 3 will have some nice LB options. I'm not too concerned for that. Some guys who COULD be available round 3 or later:

Troy Anderson

Quay Walker

Channing Tindall

Darrian Beavers

Brandon Smith

Leo Chanel

Brian Asamoah

Damone Clark

Jojo Domann

Ellis Brooks

Micah McFadden

Jack Sanborn

Mike Rose

Zakoby McClain

It seems like Quay Walker might be in consideration for Round 2 or even Round 1 from what I am hearing.  He could be a surprise selection at 32 or 34.

I thought I heard/read somewhere that the Lions planned on running more 3 safety looks. If that's the case, it would place less emphasis on adding a LB early but a greater emphasis on adding at least 1 (maybe even 2) safeties in this draft. A larger safety like Markquese Bell (Florida A&M), Sterling Weatherford (Miami -OH) or Tariq Carpenter (Georgia Tech) could be in play to fulfill that role.
