Barr (3/4ths through 2014 season) Bridgewater (2016) Cook (2017) Hughes (2018) Cine (most likely) And that doesn't include Gladney's situation either. We haven't had the best of luck with injuries to some of our early draft picks these last 8 years or so. Very true and it sucks. Lewis Cine though as a prospect obviously has crazy thin legs and a very thin lower body, 200 pounds but looks like he is 185 in college. Not thick legs and is not thick in general. Big hitter his last season at Georgia but honestly barely noticed him before last year. Stinks he is out the year I would guess and who knows if he can even play yet because he was never really on the field much. A weak and think secondary now got even more thin, but good Bynum has been decent, Dantzler is clearly decent as well. Hopefully Booth can get back healthy and Evans can see some more time.

swede700
I refuse to watch the video, because after having watched Napoleon McCallum's injury, as well as EJ's in the past, I really have no desire to put myself through that agony. I'm just going to wish him well in his recovery and hopefully, he'll be able to get back to the field. At least, he's got age on his side...EJ was nearly 30 when he suffered his injury and McCallum was 31.

Don't look up Joe Theismann's injury then.

I do recall seeing that as well, since I was probably about 11 or 12 years old when it happened...it just didn't stick in my head like that McCallum injury. Sad People
Hope he recovers quickly. And hope to see him back on the field at some point next year.
SemperFeist
While I’m sure not every detail of the injury has been released. I do find it a little encouraging that so far the only talk has been about the fracture. I have yet to see any report or quote that would indicate that he also had ligament damage. If it is just a fracture, even one as gruesome as this was, it should heal relatively quickly.

vike daddy
Lewis Cine thought he was having a phone call with Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell. Instead, he was surprised virtually by the entire team. O'Connell and the rest of the crew spoke with Cine, who remains in London after undergoing surgery for a compound leg fracture. They also sang "Happy Birthday" to the rookie, who turned 23 Wednesday. Lining everything up took some finagling considering the six-hour time difference between London and the Twin Cities. O'Connell: "I kept on telling him, 'I've got these meetings and installs. I promise I'm going to call you.' I think he probably thought something was up when we had him downloading Zoom on his phone.' But it was a special moment in our team meeting setting to be able to get his face up on the screen. The guys went crazy. It was a real special kind of moment." Josh Metellus: "It was emotional, but it was good to see him smile. It was more happy than anything. It was his birthday today, so we just wanted to let him know we're here for him, even though we're across the pond. Seeing a smile on his face after what happened to him, that livens us up more. Knowing that a guy can go through that and still wanted to know how we're doing, congratulate us on the win. Because that was a good team win. That took everybody, including him." https://www.vikings.com/news/lewis-cine-birthday-team-sings-recovery-london?fbclid=IwAR3FhlV7UwHb2GE6wqk9yjj2g6mQPW5v98s-ExUUYvxAHrNkefO5PY2YQj0
