Pick 3 - #83 overall - LB Nakobe Dean

Had to be LB, Jones or Cross here. At LB I would have preferred Chenal given how legit Dean’s medical concerns evidently are, but prospect of reuniting Dean with Davis is admittedly enticing. Not the first time we’re getting a “1st round talent” who fell due to injuries, but with a mid 3rd I’m more than ok with that gamble.

Pretty awesome we got the 2 best players from a historically good defense.

That defense was stacked.

Walker, Wyatt and (also) Walker, were all first round picks.

Yeah apparently he has a real chance of not playing this season but even if he does --- be is a beast. Eagles killing this offseason. Just need Hurts to make a step forward and yall sitting pretty for a long while.

Certainly didn’t get the 2 best prospects, but Davis and Dean were their best players. I mean Davis finished 9th in Heisman while Dean was the leader and a stat stuffer. Only 2 consensus AAs on that D.

I see this as a total win.

One of the smartest guys in the draft, even if he’s not playing he’ll help the team this year. Been a long time since we had a LB who could have the command he can have.

BR’s breakdown goes into detail some notable plays of how he sussed out plays and put that defense in the right place

The best prospect (Jalen Carter) on that Georgia defense wasn't even in this class.

He'll arguably be a top 5 pick next year and if wasn't for Will Anderson he would be the top defensive player in that 2023 draft right now.

Kirby Smart, Dan Lanning and the whole Georgia defensive coaching staff deserve a ton of credit for their recruiting and also their player development.

Truly ridiculous stuff.
