Based on their moves this season I'd say this is just it. Bears O is probably going to be more rb and tight end based than it is WR based.

People want to talk about helping out a young QB ...well if you run the ball well and give him some big reliable targets then he can still be very productive and make the jump we are all hoping to see.

Protect the **** out of him and don't ask him to do too much. That's how's bad things happen.

Two things that Fields needs to improve immediately if he hasn't already is to reduce the time he hangs onto the ball.  I believe he's already been working on that with Getsy and probably Flus as well.  The other is his release and where he hold the ball.  And that again I believe he worked on over the offseason.

For Fields to benefit from his WR core what he needs from them is crisp routes and some separation to open wider throwing windows.  Fields needs to better learn just what "open" means in the NFL not the Big Ten.  Mooney and Pringle are both very good WR.  Others have playing and starting experience and a whole lot of speed.  It's gonna look much different this year than last when we pass.

The WR core is better this year

This is just flat out wrong.

No one even in Chicago has the faintest idea of exactly how Luke Getsy plans to scheme his offense

You say this and then immediately follow it up these two statements

What I believe is this group of WR will be far more productive than the 2021 version

So how do you know it's going to be better if you don't know Getsy's scheme?

7) The rest are a collection of guys drafted primarily for traits that fit the schemes "Flus" and Getsy plan to run

So which is it? Is it only you who knows his scheme and nobody else or what?

The key word in my sentence about schemes is the word "exactly" meaning some need to know specifics.  We have a general idea of what we'll be playing but not much on the details yet and won't have for several months more.

Flat out wrong is an opinion.  YOUR opinion to be more specific.  Opinions rare just that.  They are not a substitute for fact.  My comment was simply my opinion as well so once again we end up on opposites sides and I'm gonna walk away.

I find the whine factor here to be so great I'm gonna have to run out for some cheese and crackers just so I can enjoy it all to it's fullest.

I'll pick up a box of tissue too so we can soak up all of the tears and hurts these 3 days have caused some folks.  The poor babies.

Yes, it's my opinion and one that I'm sure about 98.4% of the world agrees with because there is no argument for saying it's better.  At all.

I'd rather live in reality than a fiction world believing we just drafted 11 future hall of famers.

NFL Draft 2022 winners and losers: Impact picks for Giants, Jets; Bears fail Justin Fields

https://theathletic.com/3285902/2022/04/30/nfl-draft-winners-losers/

Losers

Justin Fields: The Bears and Fields, a 2021 first-round pick, were among our draft winners a year ago. That was a long, long time ago. If you were expecting the Bears to use their limited 2022 draft capital to help Fields, you were disappointed. The Bears’ first two picks were defensive backs, and their first offensive player selected, receiver Velus Jones Jr., received one of the worst grades of the weekend from The Athletic’s Sheil Kapadia. The Bears then didn’t take an offensive lineman until the fifth round. Good luck, Justin!

I'd give this draft a C+  We took 4 defenders, the same amount of O-linemen.  Our O-line sucked, but thats nearly 1/3 of our draft.  Only 1 WR, I was hoping for 2 with all the trades made today, especially with Pringle's legal issue and St. Brown only signing 1 year deals(I know they can sign another contract with us next year)  Is the plan 6 o-linemen with Fields, Monty, Mooney,  and any two of Pringle/St.Brown/Jones/Kmet?  I hope these guys play well.  Since we actually have a first rounder next year, looks like WR and pass rusher will be big needs
