At all. Better on paper.. no you're right when you factor in Allen Robinson..but he had a brutal year last season and was basically a non factor Besides him who did they really lose.. Goodwin and Byrd? Meh. Those guys were just fillers. Depth chart may not look a whole lot better right now talent wise but it sure has players who are hungrier I actually really like Pringle and feel he is being underestimated by a lot of people

Semantics aside....there's no way this WR group is better than last years just based off the loss of Arob alone. I mean, it's not even arguable.

Pace didn't wanna pay him and Nagy's ego wanted to prove his "offense" could work without him. Goodwin and Byrd are the same type of guys that Pringle, St James, and Bell are. The difference is they weren't asked to be the #2 WR. If Pringle and St James couldn't produce in two of the best offenses in the league with the two of the best QBs then expecting more from them here is being overly optimistic IMO. Plus, former Chief draftees rarely work out after the leave. If Andy Ried drafts a player and doesn't even give them 4 years with the team then they have no real value to him and it shows by their careers. If he ships them after 4 then they are not much better either. Basically, Ried is very good at keeping the players he likes and also knows when to cut ties after they've reached their peak. He's a good evaluator and if he thought Pringle was worth keeping then he would've done after losing Hill in free agency. Instead, he chose to let Pringle go and keep Hardman. That says alot. Ukeme Eligwe: 1 year with KC...out of football after 2. Leon McQuay: 1 year with KC...out of football after 1. 2018 Breeland Speaks: 1 year with KC...out of football after 1. WindyCity
I loved the approach today. Adding a ton of picks and spamming the OL. I hope Poles always is making a ton of day 3 picks… it I a day that rewards volume. Huge rookie classes are how we will flip this thing sooner.

Of course we aren't...we are talking about filling holes that we still have...Landry is great but he is expensive and best in the slot...we have Pringle & Velus there...what we need is a bigger outside receiver to play the X...as well as a veteran RG. Madmike90
I think if we can add a bit of competition with veterans at WR, RG, LB & CB in post draft FA we will be in pretty good shape heading into camp then we can see how these battles shape out.

We're coming at it from different places, then. I don't think that Landry will be really expensive right now. I'm guessing (hoping?) that all this time being unsigned, combined with all the rookies that are filing in, will keep his price tag down. I also think that Etsy could flip Landry and Pringle back and forth between the two positions if he wanted. Not that it would be a perfect solution, mind you, but it would work. And I agree that we're going to need a guard...but I think they can afford both.

Landry was reportedly valuing himself at $20 million earlier in the offseason...even if that has dropped by 50% to $10 million a year it is still way too much...give me... WR...Keelan Cole OG...Daryl Williams LB...Anthony Hitchens CB...Kyle Fuller For depth and competition on 1 year deals that would by us some time and depth at positions where we still have question marks. I'd be down with that--as long as Fuller was cheap, as I'm not sure we need him that badly.

I don't think we are desperate for Fuller but I still don't have much faith in Graham or Vildor if they need to play more than a few games in place of one of the starters.
