Let’s hope so

If he’s a long term starter with Ward and Newsome I’d be absolutely shocked, and he’s not a good slot fit at all.

Absolutely agree

Value, specifically value meeting need. Emerson has zero value this year and likely nothing outside of depth due to injuries past 2022 and beyond. Wright I can get behind as a project meeting need and Bell might be a plug and play slot, so same there. Emerson reeks of smartest man in the room and I always hate our past picks like that. See: Chad Thomas with Hubbard on the board, etc etc etc in the third

I get it, these guys aren’t brand name.  Maybe I’m just old or don’t care as much as I once did, but I can’t get too worked up either way. Maybe because they’re 3rd rounders?

I’m going to see what these guys do, how they fit in, etc and in 3-4 years have an idea as to just how good or bad the picks were.

For me any starter from round 4 on is a win.  With that said I would strongly consider taking York and the punter from San Diego st, lock down our specialists for long term and cheap.  Also like falalele for line depth. Guys like spiller and Howell would be worth it too.  We need to have cheap players going forward so if Howell can be a solid backup qb it's well worth it, spiller could make it possible to move a rb if we need to at some point.

I’m just waiting for AB to move down again today so this board’s collective head can explode lol

I hope he trades our last 6 picks for 2023 assets. We don’t need 6 garbage picks on a roster that’s allegedly built to be a contender.

I absolutely want these 4th rounders lol

But yeah, I’d expect some 2023 value at some point.

Serious question:

Who are projected compensation picks next year we let walk in free agency? That might hint at how we approach today.

AJ Green, Greedy, Troy Hill, Clowney, Baker if we keep him, Hunt, D’Ernest, Conklin, Walker, Njoku …

Those are all guys that would factor in.  Obviously balanced with players we may sign.

Well the good news on next year's comp picks is before this years draft we had 27 players signed for next year and are 7.6 million over the projected cap of 220 million. So there probably won't be many free agent splashes that would cancel out 3rd or 4th round comp picks. We will need to sign about 20 players somehow though after this and next years draft. Maybe we go crazy with UDFAs.

It’s gonna be wild when you finally realize the cap can be manipulated.
