From the Daily News: With a tough stretch of seven straight games until their next day off, do they dare use Sonny Gray in a spot start — at the Stadium where he has struggled so — or do they bring up a prospect like they did in Boston when J.A. Happ went on the disabled list with hand, foot and mouth disease. After Gray’s struggles on Sunday, allowing two runs in relief, it would be an odd move to give him another shot in the rotation — particularly at the Stadium. While he pitched three scoreless in his first appearance out of the pen in Chicago last week, Gray is pitching to a 7.92 ERA at Yankee Stadium this season. Leader
Aaron Judge did some "underwater stuff" including swinging in water yesterday, Aaron Boone said. The Yankees RF still has not yet swung with a bat, although "we're any day now" to that likely happening, the manager said. Judge underwent more tests on his wrist today. Remember the comparative lack of homers the Yankees had just after the All-Star break (just seven in the first 10 games after the break)? Since the calendar flipped to August, the homers have been flying. The Yankees have 24 in their past 12 games. They also have 10 multi-homer games since Aug. 1, including seven straight entering tonight. Coley Harvey, ESPN Staff Writer3h ago

Leader
56 pitches (34 strikes) and two runs in two innings. This is not the stuff of dominant #1 starter. Mr. 1.76ERA DeGrom? 22 pitches. Its problematic. Edited August 13, 2018 by Leader

Chill dude. I'm not dissing his talent - just pointing out the obvious: he's the best we've got - he's our #1 - and he's not going well. Thats a problem.
