Nextyearfordaboyz
Ridgeway > Bohannon The other 3 5th round picks have starter potential. Ridgeway doesn’t, but unlike the other three, there’s a role for him immediately.
WizardHawk
Like the potential as a space eater and vs run game
The_Slamman
Holy ish… we drafted a legit run stuffer on the DL. First, about damn time. Second, maybe it took the SF loss for front office to learn the most basic principle in all of football… gotta be able to stop the run.

I would be much happier with this if we had actually got a higher rated DT earlier ... but yes he should find snaps with this team... plan9misfit
I LOVE this pick. I couldn’t post earlier today because the reception at the draft was worse today than either Thursday or Friday. Ridgeway is the prototypical 10 year starter at NT. And, the best part: like Tyler Smith, he plays permanently pissed off. He already tweeted that he’s ready to break someone’s neck. I like my d-linemen having a few screws loose, so that tweet made me smile. And I hope that he starts with Jason Kelce.

You didnt think Bohanna was a legit run clogging NT? 340+ pounds of beef there. I really loved his film, limited of it as there was, coming out of college. I think with continued work on technique, he is going to be a handful for offenses to work against. And paired with a large, but much faster, interior DL next to him like Osa Odighizuwa from the same draft class, inthought that pair complimented each other well for the long haul. Bohanna got dominated against good run teams this year. We are talking about a guy who only had 10 tackles (3 solo) his senior year. Sure, he’s a large dude but he was ineffective at holding the point. I’m pretty confident that ridgeway will be the better run defender between the 2. Their goal is to occupy blocks. Even if they get blown off the line, if its taking the center and guard out of the equation to do so, the tackle next to him or linebacker behind him are now free to make the stop. Of course a morr athletic, vince wilforkian kind of nose, yeah they will split the double team or fire off with 1 arm and tackle with the other - and make those stat sheets. That is just so uncommon, though.
